Adding a photo to a thread

Step 1 - Getting the Image URL

Firstly, the photo you want to add needs to exist somewhere on the internet with a web address.

If the photo already exists on the internet then do the following (example is an image from Facebook) :

Right click the image and scroll down to "Copy Image URL"



If the photo does not exist already on the internet, then we will need to upload it somewhere.

Photobucket (http://photobucket.com/) is an example (other photo uploading websites are available)

Once uploaded, its the same routine. Right click and click on "Copy Image URL"



2. Once you"ve copied the Image URL, login into the APAT Forum using your username / password

3. On the thread you want to post the image to, click "Reply" or "Quote" as usual.

4. Right click and click "Paste" to paste the Image URL from Step 1. This should put the web address of the image onto the thread.

5. Now, highlight the whole the URL in the thread like this :



6. Now, click on the "Image" button here :



7. The thread should now put the "img" tags around the Image URL like this :



8. Click "Preview" to make sure its worked. If not check that the URL has the correct "img /img" start and end as the above screen shot. If not remove from the post and start again.

9. Once the preview is correct.. click post! Happy days.
