I am the villain in this hand, Did I angle shoot or poor etiquette ?.
Last nights 15/15 first hand of Final table, I have 15 bigs, look down at Ak suited, happy days, I notice young guy next to me is counting out chips as if to make a raise, action hasn"t reached him yet.
He is counting the chips out and has them in his hand ready to raise, I move my chip stack towards the betting line, not over it, as if I am going with my hand, obviously I am, instead of his intended raise he just puts 2k in the pot and announces call, I shove and it"s folded to him and he open folds 77.
No one complained, he said he seen me move my chips and that altered his decision, opinions ?
The guy in question is a thinking player and has me tagged as a nit but I think he knows I am doing in general, he also folded a set of threes a few weeks ago to me when I shoved the river with 2 pair, he thought I had hit a straight or had a higher set which was plausible, I also felted him last night after I had 3 bet him with AQ, and he had called with K8, he didn"t bet the flop which was K high, and let me hit the Ace on the turn, due to his actions this lad has probably benefitted me £200 at least, I feel as though I should buy him a pint or 2, just for poker karma of course.
Am I a dirty angle shooter ? or did I just take advantage of a situation which I noticed at the table, interested in peoples thoughts.
Another thing to add to stupid things said at a poker table last night as well.
Random arrives at table, never seen him before, and the conversation around the table is favourite hands, young kid spouts out AA and we all laugh as per, then the random says I had AA earlier on the last table and that"s the first time I have ever won with them, table went quite and I asked if this was his first game of poker and he replied no been playing for about 5 years, unluckiest player ever ?.
Love the live pokers.
