APAT Masters Satellite - An apology!
« on: September 15, 2008, 08:45:35 AM »
Guys and gals, I would like to issue a sincere apology to all for my diabolical play in this event! I was desperate to play in the Freeze out last night but my wife was not feeling to clever, but in my wisdom I decided to register. Unfortunately she got worse as the evening progressed. ( she"s fine now by the way! )
So I was trying to minister to her needs and play at the same time, and actually wasn"t bothered if I was knocked out or not, as a result I made some horrendous calls, raises and all ins, ask Tim Magnus, and Stewart ( Sir Perc). Isn"t it amazing how lucky you get when you don"t actually want it!!
As a result I got down to the final four, and then my luck ran out as I ran into the flopped nut flush twice in close succession, I turned up pocket jacks one a diamond, the flop was 3 low diamonds, so true to type I pushed all in, for River as Usual to turn A 4 of diamonds (river should you really have called my re raise?). I presume River won it as after that hand (I was 2nd) he was massive chip leader.
So once again I do apologise, and will now return to my aquarium!

Did I win? LMAO!!  :D

ask Rob Swindells (aka Swinebag22) who"s jinxed watched me keep bubbling Live events satellites eg a $4000 GUKPT package and another of these APAT Pro-Am Masters whilst in the middle of a 3 week "kick-u-in-the-goolies-whilst-going-well" period (on all sites).

So no I came 2nd, but did manage to win a Grosvenor Grand Prix Main Event seat and last night a GUKPT Main event package (the drought could be over at last :))

Also as to questioning my calling your reraise. From what I can remember maybe it was because of (as you stated) the crazy way you were playing earlier that made me believe you may not have a big hand? Or maybe I saw it as value to call then fold if.... or maybe I"m just a DONK  ;)

Can"t believe you didn"t win that! But well done for your recent qualifications. Yeah and I would say that it was a decent value call, and I had been playing darn reckless!! :D

If I remember correctly when I was HU with big lead, I held  jh 4s  on a flop of something like   :2c: 4h 5d where I called a half pot bet then came  js and this time I reraise the half-pot bet which is again reraised and I go all-in (it was gonna happen on river anyway!?) which is called and he turns over  jd jc  BOOM!! Drawing dead  :-[ Chipstacksare now reversed plus some!! And downhill from there  :(
