I enjoyed the Birmingham game and managed to finish 2nd to get my seat to the final in June. I have heard talk that there will be over 200 players at the final but with only £25k gtd that seems to many. I am trying to have the numbers confirmed by my contact at Sky.

The quality of play for the most part was good, some strange over bets at the start and the usual found out bluffs that got lucky after being called (yes I was one of those with 5c 7c v kc jc) hitting a 5 after re-raising a dubious looking initial raise.  :-[

Had a huge chip lead heads up but Bob played his cards well and hit when he needed to to take 1st place and the honors. I must admit to being well drunk by the heads up as the game had over run by about 2 hours and I had paced my drinking for the earlier finish. Next weekend will be different at Walsall as I am traveling both days so some strange sober poker for me.  :)

Anyone who gets a seat to any of the live Sky games will enjoy it immensely, the Sky crew are a great bunch and make any night with them special.

Well done on qualifing.
Given that DTD have the capacity, I sure the gtd will be smashed....its a question of any upper limit Sky/DTD want to put on it.
I"m sure our own inside contact will give us more info when he/she can  ;) :D

I"d echo what Cryptic says about the Sky events. They put on a decent day and most of the presenters stick around for side comps til pretty late.

I have to say the DTD one was better than the Broadway, where I felt like the Sky event was more of an inconvenience to the usual Saturday day/night for the casino. Looking forward to the final in June...

(Cryptic, I think we were on a table for a while but I was the final table bubble and took the 10th seat)
