Blowing the cobwebs off this thread...
After another email from the subs people saying "it"s nothing to do with us", I finally got a hugely apologetic and very nice reply from Future themselves today, and, apparently, the gift is in the post! I"ll keep my fingers crossed that it finally arrives.
Seriously though, what"s going on when customer service ignore the same question six times?
Anyway, thanks for the help along the way, looks like this is done and dusted. And, yes, it looks like I might just keep the subscription going...
