We had a bad week last time out a fortnight ago, scoring a big fat zero! We managed to cling onto top spot from Sunderland but only because we"d got two wins to their one - both having a 6 point haul. Kent and Luton have 5 points.

Due to the numbers of runners being generated by the teams it looks like any three from those four teams will get promoted.

So PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, if you know anyone who can play poker (!) and they live, work or play in the East Midlands area, get them to sign-up for Nottingham poker club.

We had 12 runners in the end. We still have 8 left and 4 of those are in the top 10. Let"s keep it going Notts!!!!

Luton"s 17 runners have been weeded down to 9. Sunderland are doing well, they still have 12 of their 15 in. Kent have 3 and Swansea have 1.

A fantastic effort to get 3 to the final table. Unfortunately our luck didn"t hold but we did get 1 point for third place.

Sunderland won it to go top of the league on 9 points. Kent did amazingly well to get second place and 2 points with only 5 entrants. They are on 7 points with us. Luton had a bit of a disaster with only 1 final tabler and no points from their 17 runners. They stay in 4th on 5 points.

I think we were all collectively unlucky from what I saw to not pick up more points. However, the 1 point picked up yesterday could be crucial come end of season. What"s the league standing and how many get promoted?
