Cheers Ger and thankyou to everyone that supported me, meant alot to me and my charity Macmillan cancer support.

Little sore today and doing my best John Wayne impression but it was a fantastic day, probably the most enjoyable Great North that I"ve done. Mr potato head went down really well with the crowds and kids who were out in huge support all the way along the route, even in the rain later on in the day.

The outfit only really caused problems when it rained and acted as a enormous sponge and a hell of a weight to run in, also meant that my shorts got soaked through causing a serious wardrobe malfunction with the 800 meters to go in front of a massive crowd and attempting to run with my shorts down to my knees and unable to pull them up due to the potato outfit  :-\

In just a week I raised £434 plus £104 gift aid meaning well over £500 going to Macmillan, a large portion of that coming from my friends from APAT and for that I"m extremely grateful. Anyone who"s over in Dublin that sponsored me seek me out for a thankyou beer, if you"re not in Dublin do the same in Luton  ;D

Thanks again

Phil
