2011 Japan Cup - Nov 27th
« on: November 24, 2011, 14:38:13 PM »
Another daydream with DANEDREAM? Why not? She is in a good shape and why she should"nt run a good race? Sadly the draw will see her out of box 13 but there will be time enough for jockey Andrasch Starke to give her a good position for the final furlongs.

Sunday morning I will switch on my notebook and Im sure she will show us another great performance.

Strong competitors will be again her Arc-runner up SHARETA (box 14), VICTOIRE PISA (box8), BUENA VISTA (box 2) and EISHIN FLASH (box 15). This 5 horses I will bet in a combined exacta.

Good luck with that Achim, she was mighty impressive in the Arc, so as you quite rightly said if she"s in good shape "Why Not?"

Yes, why not? But sometimes terrible things could happen. Injury, bad luck like constriction or simply losing a horseshoe. I"m more afraid about the time zone and different climatic conditions. It"s the first time that DANEDREAM travelled out of europe.

The draw is a concern and the different type of ground, but the other matters I believe will be well prepared for. The owner and trainer will leave nothing to chance with the equine equivalent of jet lag but obviously climate changes wherever the horse runs.

Go with your heart Achim, it didn"t fail you in France. She is a very very good classy horse and if she can overcome the poor draw and the ground then there"s no reason to be concerned  ;)

BUENA VISTA an impressive winner. Guess in record time. 2. TOSEN JORDAN and 3. JAGUAR MAIL. 4. TRAILBLAZER. 5. WIN VARIATION and DANEDREAM finished 6th and could make ground the last 2 furlongs. Real beaten and I guess she got a pricemoney too. Draw box 13 wasnt an advantage but the winner is a real champ and world class horse, no discussion. Great race with a totaly japanese triumph. (1-5)
