APAT's Coral UK Team Championship - Player Briefing

Ladies & Gents, we are pleased to be able to confirm details for the UK Team Championship as below - questions/comments etc on the weekend of events should be sent by PM to myself via HERE

APAT SEASON 9 IN ASSOCIATION WITH CORAL - UK TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP, 30TH-31ST JAN 2016

The UK Team Championship will be played at Grosvenor's G Casino, Luton on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st January 2016.

Des Duffy, Matt Dale, Leigh Wiltshire, Lucy Amos and I will be your APAT Hosts for the weekend where we will provide both an update/blog and a live stream of the Main Event, in addition to a full player tracking and ongoing team score updating service.

All players must join Grosvenor Casinos as members, which is free, and photo ID is needed.

Smart Casual dress is required (smart jeans are fine (ie not ripped etc), as are hoddies, caps and sunglasses IN THE POKER ROOM ONLY).

Hot and Cold Soft Drinks are free of charge to poker players.

Free parking is available.

The casino is open 24/7.  The Poker Room will be open as follows:

Fri - from 5pm
Sat - from 12pm
Sun - from 11am

ON SATURDAY FROM 12:00 ALL TEAM PHOTOS WILL BE TAKEN BEFORE THE START OF THE EVENT - PLEASE THEREFORE ARRIVE AT 12:00 OR ASAP THEREAFTER TO ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN AND TO ENSURE THE EVENT STARTS ON TIME

Membership:   If you are already a member of Grosvenor Casinos then you should bring your membership card to allow use of a fast track entry available (players swipe their card and there is no need to be manually signed in at the desk).

If not a member of Grosvenor Casinos, it is necessary to bring either your driving licence or passport otherwise you risk not being allowed into the casino.  The casino has a challenge 25 policy.

APAT Weekend Schedule Of Events

Players are NOT required to register for the Main Event at the venue - we have pre-registered all players and the table draw / seating plan has been completed in advance and is available as above - therefore, all players' chip stacks will go into play at the start of the event, whether you are in your seat or not, and when not in your seat you will be blinded out accordingly.

However, we ask that you please be seated 5 minutes prior to the event advertised start time, which is 14:30.

The weekend schedule of events is as follows:

Fri 29th Jan

19:30 Venue Event: £50+£6 NLHE, 25 Min Clock, 1 Re-buy Or Add-on £20/10k, Unlimited Re-entries, £5600 GTD

Sat 30th Jan:

14:30-01:30 Main Event: APAT Coral UK Team Championship (NLHE) (Day 1) £50+£5 per person 15k stack 45 min clock (30 teams x 8 players each = 240) - £12,000 prize fund

20:00- APAT NLHE Side Event £25+£5 10k stack 20 min clock with 1 hour late entry/alternates.  1 re-entry.

Sun 31st Jan:

12:00- Main Event: APAT Coral UK Team Championship (Day 2)

15:00- APAT PLO8 (H/L) Side Event £25+£5 15k stack 30 min clock with 90 mins late entry/alternates.  1 re-entry.

APAT UK Team NLHE/PLO8 Tournament Side Events

Players must register/buy-in for these events at the venue poker room cash desk from 1 hour prior to each event.

You are advised that these Side Events will on the day be subject to a maximum player capacity, with alternates and max 1 re-entry up to the first break.  Alternates/Late Entry will have priority over Re-entry.

Multi-tabling is NOT allowed, consequently, no player still in the UK Team Championship Main Event can buy-in to any side event before their exit from the Main Event.

Prizes

The winner(s) of the Main Event, the UK Team Championship, will be:

Team - highest combined scores from all team member finishing positions (1st = 100, 2nd = 99.... 100th = 1)

Individual - finishing position

The Top 3 teams and Top 20 Individuals will be paid on a 50/50 split of buyins as follows:

Top 3 Teams (50% of buyins = £6,000) - 1st=£3,000 - 2nd=£1,800, 3rd = 20% £1,200 - payouts will be made to Team Captains.

The default APAT prize structure (individual) can be found HERE = £6,000 - payouts will be made to winning individuals.

This event DOES award APAT Medals - top 3 teams and top 3 individuals.

Each side event prize pool breakdown will be confirmed at the venue after the event has closed for further entries.

APAT Main Events do NOT allow deals to be made, and Side Event deals are only allowed under the control and rules of APAT.

The individual winner of the UK Team Championship will win an "added value" main event seat at the WCOAP, where the main event winner will win the trip of a lifetime to Las Vegas in June 2016.

Live Updates

A live update/blog and live stream will be provided on the Main Event with player pictures, chip counts and "team leaderboard" throughout the weekend.

Feel free to tell your friends and family, who can follow your progress on the APAT forum - guests will need to register as a member on the forum to see pictures from the event and to post on the forum - member registration is free.
