Brendan's Funeral

Posted by Tony Kendall on blonde.

Tom, Brendan"s Son, told me that Lucy & himself have been immensely grateful for the tributes to Brendan, every Post means a great deal to them.

I told Tom of the Memory Book, & he was overwhelmed. It will be passed to Lucy & him at the Funeral.

I asked if it was his wish that some of us could attend - his reply was that Brendan considered blonde, & indeed APAT, to be his extended family, & "the more the merrier".

So, if you can be there, please do. It would mean a great deal to Tom & Lucy.

If you wish to make a donation, rather than send or take flowers, this was Brendan"s chosen Charity. It is a bona-fide Registered Charity.

British Kidney Patient Association.

Their Website is here....

http://www.britishkidney-pa.co.uk/

The Site includes an Online Donation clickable link, prominently displayed centre right on the Home Page.

Sorry for mentioning this , I would of liked it to be posted on the Blonde Forum (as there was already a thread about it) but it has not been allowed.

I feel compelled to post it somewhere though :

"Brendan"s Funeral
Both myself and Charmaine would love to attend, but I thought that the £70 which it would cost us to get there, flowers etc,,, would be better donated to his charity, so that is what I am doing.

£70 on its way to your charity Brendan.

God rest your soul xx"

And here is a confirmation email re the £70 donation :

Tikay has created a thread on the Blonde forum, about todays service for Brendan, that APAT members might be interested in viewing.

life is a bitch -- it takes the good guys away (I"m still here) he was and still is in my mind one of the very very best.

You can have your short term problems - we all have - he had long term problems in life and in health and he still managed to keep the good side out, an absolute legend.

I salute you brendan if i get to be half the man you were I have fulfilled my destiny
