PLO - cash game
« on: December 18, 2008, 01:49:23 AM »
9 handed - Blinds £1 - £1

Pot size £80 - two players see a flop.

I am in position with  9d 9c 8c 8s

Flop is  jh -   5d -  9h

My opponent, let"s call him Chris, bets the pot - it"s £80 to me the pot is £160.  I have approximately £220 - Chris has nearly £500.

I must stress here I do not play Omaha very often, therefore go easy when I tell you how I played this.

What do I do here?  This hand was played the night of my card clubs Christmas Party, so I"m obviously the perfectly balanced man at this point - half man half single malt whiskey (Chris is sober as a judge...no not a judge, he"s genuinely sober).

you cant fold 2nd nuts here,if he has JJ hey ho,QThh your 6 to 4 favourite, like wise just calling over 1/3 of your stack is a no no , so call the bet of £80 and raise the pot for your remaining £140 and pray to the poker Gods for the board to pair or for a 9  ;D to give you that lovely smug feeling........

Pot size is £80!!!! at £1/£1, how did id it get that high and why are you even in the hand?

9988 is not a hand I want to be be playing with what I presume were multiple pot bets in front of you. Basically, you are playing for 4 outs...you got lucky and hit one and you still don"t know if you are in front.

As it is, you have no choice by to stick it in.
