Think i found the biggest leak in my game
« on: December 26, 2008, 22:30:23 PM »
it wasnt how i was playing as such (although that never gonna be perfect) but what i was playing

i enjoy the thrill and quick win of turbo sit n go"s (mainly short handed) but looking back at my bankroll for the last month or so my success is far greater in the usual 8 minute or 12 minute levels where i feel i can play position and it doesnt turn into a shove fest with any 2 cards when still 4 handed

the only turbo games that i consistently cash in are double or nothing but those arent really poker but a game of surviving and hoping to double up early on and cruise to safety

For winning players your ROI in turbos will always be smaller than in standard STT for a variety of reasons (e.g. having to shove lighter earlier and the frequency with which you are called light means more horror beats both for you and your oponents).

You have to weigh up win rate per hour against ROI here because a lot of STT players will win more per hour playing turbos despite having a smaller ROI.
