Great Experience!
« on: February 09, 2009, 12:16:30 PM »
This weekend was my first APAT tournament and although I only managed to play about only 4 hours on the Saturday before going out, I enjoyed the experience and will surely look to come back for more!!
I was originally seated on Table 13 and although there wasnt much conversation on the table, the time did fly by! Eventually I was moved table (to Table 10) and thats where I met my demise!! (Did anyone progress reasonably far from these tables?)
Once again, thanks for a great tournament - and congratulations to the winner!!

Glad you enjoyed the experience, Dave. May it be your first of many APAT National events.

I was on table 13 also.  I progressed about 50 metres to the bar.  I think maybe we were cursed.  I call for a ban on all further table 13"s.

That was actually on table 2 :)  (the table that was used as final table)

For some reason, I seem to remember the details of that hand very very very well :)

OI!!!

I had two suckouts all weekend... A10 v AJ, and that ginormously embarassing one on the final table with 79 v KQ.   I know that makes a change for me, but....

My first APAT event as well and I thank Des and the team for all the work put in.
I was on table 3 all day 1 and start of day 2 then table 2.
I really enjoyed meeting everyone and apologies to a couple of players that I managed to suck out on. In particular the chap whose AA I stuffed with AQ early on day 2. Of course it was a bonus to have cashed as well!
Thanks again to the team.

I will go with that.... I am happy to assume it was a curse that prevented me from progressing!!!  :)
