Season 4 - Estonian Leg
« on: March 01, 2010, 19:14:08 PM »
Sorry people, probably should have put this some place else.  But, first post on here, so bare with me.

Basically, I am brand new to APAT.  I have not played any competitions under the name APAT, and only ever played the Glasgow/Liverpool Casino"s, with decent success.

But, I am looking at info for the Estonian Tournament.

I would like to know whether there is any chance of someone like myself being involved in this event?

Is there some sort of qualification to be included on this, or can anyone register and it"s on a first come, first served basis?

I noticed that tournaments last year were limited to a certain amount, which seemed rather low, so I am guessing that they all filled up rather quickly?

How soon would registration begin for this tournament, albeit it doesn"t start until late-July?

What is the registration procedure, how do you go about claiming a seat?

Any help and info is muchly appreciated.

Hello and welcome to APAT

To play the event. Online satellites about 5-6 weeks before the event on betfair

Remaining seats on sale through Betfair on an evening to be announced in advance, direct buy in

Even if those two routes fail, seat exchanges happen as those with seats cannot attend nearer the time

So yes, every chance you could get to play

Will try and get arrangements sorted for Estonia asap, given travel complexities

Thanks for your swift response.

How many seats tend to be available for an International leg, and as such what percentage of those seats are claimed via online satellites?

The remaining seats is it basically "fastest finger first" when registration begins on Betfair, or will it be quite simple to claim the extra seats?

And how soon before the tournament can we register (i.e. without the need for satellites)?

International Legs, depends on the capacity of the venue. Estimate 120-150 seats

typically 30-40 go in the online satellites for most events

In the tournament lobby for direct entry it will be first come first served yes

Direct entry 5-6 weeks before the event

last time we went outside of the UK and ireland was to austria and there was no need for fastest finger anyone from UK wanting to go got a seat

cant say it will be the same this time but alot of the regulars wont pay for flights and hotels to play in a £75 freezeout

though austria was a great weekend and hopefully this years events will be even better
