Cardif Regional Nov 10th
« on: November 08, 2007, 08:05:12 AM »
Hi guys,

Recently it was brought to my attention in another post that the Grosvenor casino, Cardiff, were not taking phone pre-registrations.

For everyone who"s regional casino is Cardiff I would just like to let you know that the problem has now been sorted.

They will now take pre-registrations over the phone so long as you call them after 7pm and ask to be put through to the cardroom.

Hope this helps and hope everyone enjoys the regional on Saturday.

Any other questions just post a reply and I"ll answer.

Cheers,

David.

P.S.  Cardiff are opening their doors at 2:00 on Saturday and starting the tournament at 3:00.

Just a note for those pre-registering Cardiff too, the casino opens at 2:00 and all pre-registered people must be there and paid up by 2:30 unless the seats will be released. Tournament starts at 3:00.

Good luck all!

David.

I rang Cardiff last night shortly after 7pm to be told that they were just playing their regular £20 freezeout game rather than any special qualifiers. I asked why and was told the APAT had been cancelled.

Has anyonme else managed to book a seat there? It"s possible I was speaking to someone who didnt know what was happening.

You were definitely speaking to someone who did not know what was happening.  Please try them again later this evening and ask for Sean, the Cardroom Manager.  The event is going ahead as scheduled.

We have taken the decision to not advertise these events again due to the difficulty in tying the details down at each venue.  When we can finally achieve this position, we will market them hard.  The good news being, there should be loads of space at Cardiff on Saturday.

Its quite scary to know that there is a lack of communication like that, but as said already, most the staff at Cardiff know about APAT and it is happening. I wish you luck if you"re playing and hope you enjoy the event :).
