APAT Luton - Player Briefing

Final event details for players entered in the English Amateur Poker Championship and APAT Pro League, Luton are as follows:

October 23rd & 24th, 2010.

CAR PARKING

Car parking is available at the Casino and free.

DRESS CODE

Clean and tidy dress is strongly recommended.  No football tops, but jeans are fine!  

No sportswear, ripped jeans or hoodies are allowed.

Please note G Casino Luton does not allow trainers, so please wear shoes.

G CASINO REGISTRATION

Will be available at the venue from midday on Saturday.  (Casino is now open 24hrs a day)

Players will have to register with the G Casino prior to being able to play in this event.  We actively encourage every APAT member to turn up as early as possible to complete your registration at the G reception. 

Players can leave the venue after registration but we encourage you to be back in your allocated seats by 2.15pm (for a 2.30pm start).  However, it is not obligatory to be in your seat at the start of the event.

Please note that any friends or family members that wish to accompany you into the Casino will also have to complete a Casino Member Application Form.

Registration is only available to individuals aged 18 years of age and older, with a valid proof of identification.

The initial stage of your casino registration can be completed via this online form.

IDENTIFICATION

Please bring a valid Passport or Drivers License.  If you do not have one of those, then a credit card AND recent utility bill will suffice.  Your guests will also need to bring a similar proof of identity.

If you cannot present valid identification to the Casino, you will not be allowed to enter the premises.

ENTRY FEE

The buy in for this event is £75 and a registration fee will not be charged.

The buy in for the Professional League is £250 and a registration fee will not be charged.


SCHEDULE

Amateur Championship

This event will run over two days.  Play commences at 2.30pm on the Saturday.

Play is expected to finish at around 1.00am on day one.  Players left in will return for a 2.30pm start on Sunday, with the final expected to finish around 10.00pm that evening.

Due to the nature of tournament Poker, end of day timings are estimated.

Professional League - Pot Limit Holdem

This event will run on Saturday from 2.30pm, to a finish.


FIELD

The Amateur Championship field will consist of 150+ players plus alternates during the first two levels.

The Professional League event will be capped at a maximum of 30 players.

PRIZES

The prize pool breakdown will be confirmed at the Casino when the final number of runners in each event is reached.

The winner of the Amateur Championship and Professional League events will win an entry to a GUKPT main event and the top three finishers will win Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.

The Winner of the Amateur Championship event will also win the English Amateur Championship trophy.

Alternates will be allowed the opportunity to take part during the first two levels of the Amateur Championship event.

Please note that all entrance fees will be paid out in prize money.  APAT will not retain any fee for running this event for our members.

BUFFET

Food will be provided to all Saturday players during the day.

PRESS

The events will be streamed live on APAT tv over the weekend.  In addition, Journalists from a number of Poker magazines and a photographer will be present on both days.  We hope to feature a number of images from the tournament on our website and in APAT Magazine after the event.

By entering this tournament you accept that your image may be used in APAT TV, press and marketing campaigns.

LIVE UPDATE

Technology allowing, APAT intend to run a live update on the event and we will be posting player pictures and chip counts throughout the weekend.  Feel free to tell your friends and family, who can follow your progress on the forum.  Guests will need to register on the forum to see pictures from the event.  Registration is free.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Please note the event is subject to the terms & conditions of the Amateur Poker Association & Tour.

CANCELLATIONS

Once a seat has been sold, refunds will not be made.

Players will be able to utilise the APAT Seat Exchange board to trade their seat at the face value.

Seat Exchange Guidelines apply.
