A number of you will have met Patrick Tochel, Lazaroonie, at APAT events.

Laz, as he was known by everyone, finalled the APAT event in Dublin in 2007 and played a number of APAT events across four seasons.

Laz passed away last night in a Glasgow hospital after a battle with cancer

I am sure everyone will join me in sending condolences to Laz"s family and friends.

Sat next to him in Dublin in 2007 for a bit when he had a HUGE stack.

Very sad to hear this news in Luton over the weekend.  Laz was a big character in most senses of the word and a true APAT member.  Laz can be seen interviewed (6"30" in) when finishing fifth in the Irish Amateur Championship in July 2007.  Several other well known APAT-ers also feature in this video including Brendan Hartnett (RIP).
