What you doing Matt?!  Sort it out, they"re suited! No England player would play seven two suited! Imagine the shame!   :o ::) ;) ;)

Appreciate the thoughts around team numbers guys, but it will stay at 4 players per team.

How about 2 more teams of... "non-Brits".. "aliens"... "Foreigners"...  "any-other"... Whatever you prefer to call...

Aliens? Foreigners?

If that"s the case, i"ll give Brian a ring as i"m sure he"ll put forward a BCPC team.   ;)

I"m all confused now.  Nothing new there then.   ;D

I know the Worlds Team event at DTD is selection based on what passport you hold.  Is that the case for this thing too, or is it just a case of where you reside?

Mucho cheers in advance for defogging the brain.   :)

I believe that the consensus amongst the PTB was that it"s one country only.

If you want to represent a country then that"s it forever. No swapping around....just pick one.

Craig was captain of Team Canada...he"s stuck with that as his choice....no double dipping.

Or perhaps my hearing was off.

Stop being a smart ass Pauly. There are people being excluded from an event because of their race as defined by British legislation as a Protected Characteristic. I"m quite happy to abide by Des's decition here as I don"t believe this was how this rule should be interpreted nor how it was meant to be interpreted.  However I am not happy about someone taking a glib attitude towards it.

No offence was meant, mate and I"m sorry if it came off that way, you are not the only one affected but you were the first to raise the issue...I was just trying to explain (albeit in a light hearted way) the decision that had been made.*

Obviously playing heads up for rollz against the champ would be a poor move. If you fancy a sensible sized heads up cash game at some time would be fun. Just to take on the champ like.

I would have to side completely with Paulie on this Craig.  Competitors in hundreds of sporting style events are excluded from participating in many events as a result of their nationality.

We try to remain as open as possible but it wouldn"t be right for players to pin their nationality to a flag dependant on the event that is being run. Those are my thoughts anyway.
