Hi all - going to miss the game as Cheryl and I fly out on the 24th for 10 nights..  if any of the APAT regulars are still around for a second week it would be good to hook up.   Downtown for a few nights then to the IP from the 28th...

If you are all heading back before then cool and see you all soon... Going to try to make Brighton in Jan with Cheryl.

See you all soon

Jason and Cheryl..

I checked out the tournament room for tomorrow, this morning.

Simply stunning. Over 30 tables in a private room off the main card-room, with the walls lined with WSOP champions

I doubt my pictures will do it justice but here is a past shot...

Caesars Palace itself is stunning too, a real sense of scale and grandeur

Outside the cardroom is a 30+ screen sportsbook with price displays and booths. I could have wasted a day in there....

Also the "Pure" Nightclub. Someone drag Bayliff and Owston out of there over the weekend, please

Buffet report

Well now.

Hash Brown a go-go did not open til 7am so I took a wander (past a pretty busy casino floor) into Harrahs where I saw Stocktons Rock and Cock up and about

I gather in the Harrahs $80 last night the final 5 were APATers and McKinlay beat Ger Junior Heads Up

We paid our $14.99 and partook of the Harrahs All you can eat buffet. Ru Roh.

I managed two platefuls

Plate One, and I took careful note of this

Smoked Salmon/gravadlax
Three types of sausage
Bacon
hash browns
two types of potato
diced tomato
corned beef hash
noodles
chicken stir fry (from the chinese section!)
bread
more sausage (german, smoked)

by plate two I was concentrating on breathing more than recording accurately the fayre consumed though the Stocktons managed waffles with chocolate and toffee sauces on plate two

this is at 7am remember

I wandered to the cake end. Man oh man. For another time. 14 different types of ice cream to choose from too.

Vegas is a bit of a killer for me really. It puts me slap bang in front of some of my biggest potential vices and says "come on, I dare you to say no, sucker". There is a constant battle between the degen me and the sensible me. As I am on a budget, I simply have to be sensible

i will fail on the food though, no way can I turn the Vegas food down.

The rest, 20 hours in, and all is well. I"m winning.

I can report on behalf of those with have no WiFi at the Casino Royale that it now contains a fair amount of APATers. After learning Craps (degen game, JBWorldwide agrees triumphantly!) and now $60 lighter, we leave them to their "Stag Night". Laxie and Joobs partaking of same - try telling Dawn she isn"t invited!

FatCatStu buying the drinks ($1 all drinks!) after his 4 way split at Harrah"s $60 morning game for $475 each. BigGlen42 one of the others who split the dosh.

After three bacardi"s, we"ve retired back to room for a siesta ahead of our show at the Wynn tonight.

I looked for SirPercival at the Venetian $150 Big Bounty tourney but no luck finding him. I"ve not been to the Rio at WSOP time but the Venetian from a size point of view is a pretty awesome spectacle today. I reckon there are around 150 poker tables packed full! The VDSE"s look great but with only the sats to the Main Event and the $2500 ME itself, it"s something I"m not going to experience ... this time. I"m so looking forward to playing the 1/2 cash tables tonight and the APAT event tomorrow. My guess is that MANY will be rough tomorrow.

Be prepared for the standard 10x opening bet on the $1/2 tables!!
