Not a chop as such, but when the APAT Champion of Champions was three-handed, two of the players agreed to take a percentage of each other if either of them won the 20k prize.

Blatant collusion. Course u can"t chop without everyone agreeing. Shocking!

And if two players agree to a 50/50 chop of their profits before tourney starts?  Is that ok?  An if it is, they how is it different if they make that deal after the tourney starts?

(just playing devil"s advocate - I would hate it if two people made a deal three handed like this)

If you had done this beforehand I am pretty sure you wouldn"t be advertising this fact at the table when 3 handed. Personally I swap like 10% with a mate but not 50
Looking forward to making my first day 2

rule 21 is now enforced much more in Caesars and Venetian (including when HU). Other places are more relaxed about it.

I heard of one APAT player getting a 2 orbit penalty for saying "will you show if I fold?" when dwelling on a call HU.

I was also told by the TD at Caesars that if you answer a question like this you will also be subject to a penalty.

saw someone get an orbit penalty for talking at the table at the Aria, was glad too as he was banging on about hands constantly!!

there was a few polite reminders on the APAT final table in vegas, however they were fairly relaxed with us all in general i thought.

I was refering to the normal Ceasars tourney, didn"t last long enough in the APAT tourney to be in a position to comment.  :-[
