888poker.com APAT UK Open Poker Championships

Saturday 3rd December to Sunday 4th December

No ripped jeans, sportswear etc



REGISTRATION


If it is your first visit you will need photo ID at reception. To save time you can join online beforehand at http://www.grosvenorcasinos.com/local-casinos/join-casino?CasinoCode=GCM1 but you will still need that ID on your first visit. You have to be over 18 years old.



ENTRY FEE

888poker.com APAT UK Open Championship: £100 per person, a registration fee will not be charged. A Player List will be on this thread in due course. Capacity is 150 players plus Alternates. Entry is open to all players, it is not an Amateur only event.


SCHEDULE

This event will run over two days.  Play commences at 2.30pm on Saturday.

Play is expected to finish at around 2.00am on day one.  Players left in will return for a 2.30pm start on Sunday, with the final expected to finish around 10.00pm that evening.

Due to the nature of tournament Poker, end of day timings are estimated.


REMAINING SEATS

Some seats remain for this tournament. They are on sale either on a list on this forum or direct at the venue. If seats are available on the day we will inform you on this forum in the days beforehand.  Payments on the day will be cash only, for £100

PRIZES

The prize pool breakdown for the APAT UK Open Championship event will be finalised once numbers of player sand Alternates are known

As an indication with 120 runners and a total Prize Pool of £12,000, first prize will be in the region of £3,500


The top three individual finishers will win Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.

The individual winner of the event will also win a Super Stack seat courtesy of 888poker.com.

Please note that all entrance fees will be paid out in prize money.  APAT will not retain any fee for running this event for our members.

BUFFET

There will not be a buffet for players at this event. The venue has both a restaurant and a bar menu to order from throughout the day


PRESS

Journalists from a number of Poker magazines and a photographer will be present on both days.  We hope to feature a number of images from the tournament on our website and in APAT Magazine after the event.

By entering this tournament you accept that your image may be used in APAT TV, press and marketing campaigns.

LIVE UPDATE


Technology allowing, APAT intend to run a live update on the event and we will be posting player pictures and chip counts throughout the weekend.  Feel free to tell your friends and family, who can follow your progress on the forum.  Guests will need to register on the forum to see pictures from the event.  Registration is free.

Just to confirm as this isn"t an Amateur Championship event there will not be a trophy as with all previous individual pro / open events.  There will be medals for the top three, again in line with similar events previously.

Details of Two new Events to end Season 5 are announced below

The aim here, partly in response to feedback on the Season 6 discussion thread, is to give APAT members two accessible events (as opposed to London just before Xmas and Prague in January) to end the current season

Both events will be eligible for Season 5 ranking points

No harm in doing so, though my experience is Manchester reception is pretty efficient
