The highlight of my day was twice folding pairs that became quads, once in the tournament and later playing Omaha cash. Even worse, Suzanne went all-in in the tournament after the quads hit.

Anyway, I have Ian Thompson in the Champions last-longer. Just need one more to fall to claim my prize. Come on Ian.

Update on me for my zero fans: 25k chips. Minus a lot of £ on Liverpool. Fml.

Asa Mcgrath opens playing 18,000

Dave Garden shoves in him from the small blind, similar stack

McGrath calls, with  9h 9d

Garden was at it with  Kd 8d

flop is an eye opener

Kh 8h 4h

Qh gives McGrath the flush

Now to fade the full house outs, which he does on the  6s to double up

Darren Shallis is out

He raised with J-10 suited, was 3-bet, and called

K-Q-x flop

Darren c-raised all in with the OESD and was called, in a moment of genius (I think) by A-J, which held when Darren"s draw missed

Guilty, as charged  ;D Sorry Darren!

Great tournament, great standard, a little disappointed to crash out with A7 vs A8 and AJ vs QJ, but I had a good run. Look forward to coming to another APAT event! A quick shout out to Asa and Dave Garden for keeping the good humour and chat going throughout too.

The most active table sees Vikrum Mehta and Tony Johnson butting horns like a pair of rutting stags in mating season

Both have three bet the other, pre and post flop

Johnson leads 2-0, most recently 3 betting the small blind pre and c-raising all in on a 2-7-8 flop

Mehta took several minutes of dwell thinkage for show passing (with not a lot!)
