Excellent job Paulie, looks really great. Thanks for your efforts.

Yip looks great, good job Paulie... only thing wrong is that you have Stuart Ward only winning something in 2009.
The way he still bangs on about it, it must have been 2009. 2010, 2011, 2012 and probably all the events in 2012 x

jealousy is something we champions have to deal with all the time, Phil. Luckily im the better person so i will rise above it.

OK...fixed the Abbreviation issue.

Apparently, it"s not the done thing to include Abbreviations in article titles.

Soooo....I added a "redirect" page that will take you straight to the main page if you search for the term "APAT" instead of "Amateur Poker Association & Tour.

Works the same way as WSOP....their main page is "World Series of Poker" not "World Series of Poker (WSOP)".

Right, I"m off to get some ointment for the postule I just found. ;D

Quick look - it needs some work on hyperlinks; a fuller look might follow

I know some of the hyper links don"t work yet WCOAP & Cash Tour for instance.

I"d check anything specific you might want to add with Des first....just to be nice.

It"s a nice start and should fill out nicely over time.  Of course, you don"t need to make all the changes yourself, because it"s a wiki, so everybody can chip in to help (although people actually employed by APAT ought not to, I suppose?)

I think you"re going to need some citations to independent publications to backup the membership numbers and the "largest organisation" claims and things like that, though, otherwise they"ll be classified as unverifiable, original research.  The tables of results don"t need those, though, imho.  I"ve inserted the founding news article citation into the first sentence, but I"m too tired to search for others right now, sorry :o (closest thing in the standard smiley set to a yawn)

Yeah, thanks for that....I"m a n00b at this.

I wavered over the details (20,000 & "largest") and how they should be marked as they do come off as a little bit of "marketing" verbiage.

I don"t know of any way to confirm the number (Des might) except that this forum has over 8000 members alone plus there are the members of the current (and previous) headline sponsors who are, by default, also members.

Whether that number, 20000, would be enough to confirm APAT as the largest is a tough one because I don"t know of anything directly comparable to APAT in that it is an players" organisation and runs a tour.

If you like, APAT is in a class of one.

I also wavered over the WCOAP and Cash Tour links..should I mark them as "Not currently active" to stop them being reported as "dead links"?

I"ve looked through Wiki"s guidelines which seem to suggest that this should be avoided in the content of the articles (such as been done here).

External links (where they are used) should be placed in the section marked for such and we already have a link to the HMDB.

I think I remember who that person was.  If I"m not mistaken (I"m not), he might have got a one off branded APAT shirt to commerate the special occasion.  Do you still have it George?  :)
