Would the software be an issue for playing for a particular region with regards to your ip address and selected club ?

No issues with that.

Thus solves the problem then.

Removed HLC name and regged for East England.

APAT rules. I"m a member of APAT. I abide by them. Simples.

Do I agree with them, not entirely, healthy debate on it should always be encouraged but rules are rules.

Nice post Waz.

I too (like many others) am happy to abide by the rules. It was when the rule changed without debate or explanation that caused the issue.

I ahve also said that I will support whatever the final decision is by Des after the discussions later.

Have I missed something here , this is a $10 buy in Sunday evening bit of fun poker game , no more . Seems to be a lot of unhappy people but I don"t know why . The apat have done what they think is best , cut them some slack. I mean we"re not playing for a row of houses are we . fmb .

...
As it happens, I have some Scottish ancestry, my wife is Welsh, my kids are half Welsh, I drank Guinness in Ireland a few times, I was born in Bournemouth (and that remains my most favourite place in the world), but... I live in the West Midlands at the moment, so I will happily play with the West Mids team in accordance with the APAT rules.

I really don"t see why people are getting so wound up by this.

Ahh - I now understand why you support Liverpool FC!

We don"t have too many events at DTD every year?!

Why am I having to mod all of Paulie"s posts and not anyone else?!?!?!

We don"t have enough events at DTD....and I resemble that comment.

Oh...and I know you laughed. ;D

Exactly!!! So why did those people complain in the first place and push apat into a corner where they felt that they had to make a "ruling"?

I for one right from the beginning have always been and always will be a supporter of why apat was created and the fantastic work that it continues to do, including this latest concept, no matter the outcome of this. So just because we are having a healthy debate about this doesn"t mean we are happy or unhappy. One, of the many, great things about APAT is that we can all get together debate, take the piss, and eventually come to a consensus of opinion WITHOUT FALLING OUT. It"s kind of what happens in the adult world, we sometimes frequent, you know adults having conversation, making changes, etc etc.

Ok so just to clarify are we saying that the REAL problem here is that there is not enough people who will admit to either living in or having been born in the east of england?
