I"m not bothered about it at all now,  why we can"t be told where it is beats me. I can"t suddenly ask my boss for say two/three days off at short notice to allow for travelling. He already lets me off every 2 weeks to sign on the dole.

Because it"s an APAT tradition, the not being open bit that is.  I"m sure Des is as honest as they come.

This has nothing to do with being "open and honest" and all to do with the fact the venue has not signed the agreement yet.  There can be no announcement until that happens.

Have these agreement signing delays been caused by a language barrier Des? If so, in which language did you write it? One of us might be able to assist ...

We almost certainly won"t take the plane as it works out an expensive option and puts a whole load of financial risk on APAT if the numbers do not work out.

Right now, we want to run a 200 runner event while our hosts would like us to run an event three times as big.  It"s a great cardroom and I"m sure an outstanding weekend will be had by all participants.

And I"ve always wanted to go to Switzerkland.

PokerPlayer Magazine came through this morning stating. Page 13 reads;

"The £75 seats go on sale at www.apat.com on 18th Feb"
(that"s a Monday)

"... online satellites will take place on 16th and 17th February ..."
(Saturday and Sunday nights, so no Live Satellite I assume ... ?)

So I"m thinking this could take the form of the OnLive ... winners being whisked off somewhere they speak Kurdish ... ?

Guys page 25 of poker player magazine states European event tickets go on sale Feb 18th. There are online and LIVE satellites for both the European and Scottish events. Hope this clears things up.  :as:

Should make significant ground over the weekend and will be aiming for signoff midweek, or asap.  Timings remain approx as we are relying on others to confirm their position.  The venue will almost certainly be confirmed next week.

Any progress?  I thought I felt an announcement in my water, but it may have just been cystitis.  We must be close surely?
