I agree - some people, taking themselves and everything else too seriously, have taken some of the enjoyment out of it lately for the rest.

Being back the applause!

This!  It made our tournaments so different from the norm, to hear the casino break out in applause whenever there was a KO.  Helped the community spirit of the events.

From two people who got a lot of comfort from it on many a Saturday afternoon.

Yeh would be sick to go out first from an APAT

Not at all - if nothing else, it meant that APAT was something different, and the local casino regs would at least show an interest.

the spirit of apat is good at the live tournaments ,  I have played in the last  10 (excluding team events) and have never seen any bitching only seen some fantastic banter  from people like ger/scouse/grant/dawn/mint trav/etc etc too numerous to name the rest, but the only bitching i have seen has been on the forum and if any person was thinking of joining our association they would probably think twice  about it after reading of the crap on it lately, roll on next weekend when we meet up at coventry

Well said, a lot of aggro over the weekly league over what is clearly a fab job well done.

APAT North America @ Caesars after 2 back outs (one rather late from what was said) - Simply Brill.
Sunday Stars league - Awesome.
2012 Schedule - Excellent (although I can"t play most events to schedule clashes).

Again - Fab work APAT - keep it up.

That"s one record that can never be taken from you George.

Didn"t do you any harm though, APAT and UKIPT legend now, with the odd DTD deepstack and GPT (or whatever it was called) thrown in as well.

Was George first out (first to get appluded)  in the first apat event? Quality record if he was.

He was indeed and it took around two hours if I remember correctly.  NOBODY wanted that on their CV!

George did pick up an exclusive APAT branded top for his troubles though...

Jeez....September 2006.
