Dan..check out the Poker Royale"s Hotel Page.

The Hotel Zentral is pretty full right now (only 4 rooms left according to www.booking.com]

The Orange Wings is about the same price and distance away (c. 1mile).

Google Maps will show you where the hotels are (if you put the address in)

Would probably be keen on a coach trip out there as well. Let me know price etc.

Flights and then transfers are beginning to look a bit expensive.

I"ve created a Google Map that has the casino and discounted (see the Casino Hotel Page) hotels on it.

Obviously, it"s dependent on Google being right but FWIW.

Hotel Zentral has some twin rooms available for the weekend @ £58 a night.

Might book it and then cancel if I find anything better.  Don"t think there was a cancellation charge if I cancel before the 20 March.

Loving the map Paulie.  Zentral doesn"t look too far away.  Walking distance really.

Further to mooting the coach idea.

Its a non starter.  Average quote would work out around £150 a head provided the coach was full.

2 days travelling.

No alcohol or smoking allowed on coach!!!

I have contacts in the coach game - i will make a few enquiries also. I think £150.00 would be a reasonable price for two days entertainment/poker - but i will look to get that reduced. and i know for a fact that if 50 people told the driver they are drinking - then they are drinking. Smoking we may need to try a bit harder.
If there is still interest at the £150 price mark then i will take up the gauntlet.

My contact thinks he can do it for about £100 a head based on 50 travelling. It would be a manchester departure and possibly going via Hull an the ferry. and maybe one days travelling leaving late Thursday night and arriving Friday afternoon. And coming back late Monday and getting back Tuesday. He is looking for the best route the second option is still manchester departure and stopping in Birmingham to pick up and maybe one other stop south before reaching dover.
let me know

FWIW, AutoRoute reckons the fastest route is via Dover-Calais... 1123 miles, 17.25 hrs (without stops).
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space.
