Great satellite this evening with Linda Iwaniak and Kevin Shutt taking the $600 packages to Vienna.  Jim Lynott finished an unlucky third but $240 will see him part way!  Unlucky also was Walsall Bronze medalist Paulie Davis who bubbled in fourth.

Thanks guys...  c u there

Sorry Jim, 50-50 whether I was calling with that flush draw, you just didn"t have enough chips for me not to.  Hopefully you will still be going  :)

If I"d known it was Paulie and Jim I would have done lots more raising LOL  ::)

I"ve been reading the ipoker debate over the last few days and thinking it cant be fixed surely, the cards go the way they go. But last night i got a slightly different view. Playing on a cash game whilst in the qualifier i got AA, there was a raise so put in a minimum re-raise, got a caller, board comes down 8 high, opponent bets i re-raise the pot, he moves all in i call he shows JJ, river is the J - AA busted.
thirty minutes later in the comp i get AA, again there is a raise i oush allin get call by JJ, yep you guessed it J comes and i am out in 20th.

Apart from that whos up for this coach trip????????

Congratulations to Linda on a disciplined start to the tourney, rising to a crescendo on the final table! I had my share of good poker variance on the way, but pleased to be going to Vienna. I look forward to meeting old friends and making new ones, see you soon  ;)

Third Qualifier tonight, just the 28 runners which means one package for 1st and $240 for 2nd.

wow 3 LPM"ers in the last 4, I knew if you had had any sort of a draw you were likely to call, Couldn"t take the odds out of the pot and was fairly certain I was in front, I couldn"t do no more than get it in with the best of it, Your overcard (Ace) changed the odds quite significantly maybe giving you the edge, 10 outs twice. The other way round I would have called the push in a flash, it was a ticket winning moment and you had to take it, had you lost you would have had a decent stack left to still play a proper game.

I will see you in Austria as whilst the $240 was a decent consolation, I managed to luck out and take the ticket down last night. So $840 over 2 nights and a guaranteed ticket not a bad weeks work.

Good going Jim, it was worth taking the third place that $840 is going to more than cover your costs.

Just hope Richard now wins a seat as I have already bought his ticket for the flight.  He would have preferred to go to Brighton to defend his "Good Friday Festival tournament title" that he won last year so if he doesn"t get a seat I may come over on me own.....

Now booked a hotel - will be staying at the Hotel Zental.
