Fantastic news guys. Well done. #excitedmuch
You can only play pocket jacks 3 ways, all of which are wrong.

It's only a gambling problem if you are losing :D

Will the Irish Online event be on the new site then?

Bri,

The plan would be for it to be the first online event on the new card room.

Further details to follow

Just digesting, very exciting news.

This sounds like fantastic news to me. Sad to see Tighty go, but welcome back Leigh....was disappointed to see you leave but will be great to have you back again.

+1 to this. Great to see Leigh back, but really sad to see Tighty go, hope he can still fit the APATs into his busy schedule.

ps. noticed no mention of hobnobs. Will bring a packet down to DTD and share with whoever"s on my table x

......

Also is there any rakeback available?

Many thanks and good luck

.....

Rakeback is a thorny issue with the networks right now and we need to finalise our position, but I think it"s unlikely that we"ll be offering it.  We may need to look to add value elsewhere.

Do any existing Poker.co.uk customers receive rakeback?

If they do..  will they continue to receive it?

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space.

I believe some do, quite how straight up they receive it isn"t clear, but that whole area needs to be looked at as I do not want APAT to fall foul of network rules.

I assumed that rakeback was paid, my question was really in relation to your statement, ".. but I think it"s unlikely that we"ll be offering it."

Does this mean that it will no longer be offered to those who currently get it?

Obviously you will be wanting to maintain the current player base.. stopping rakeback may not be the best way to acheive that.

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space.

I was being upfront with you Alan. I believe some players (very few as I understand it) receive it and I also know the network is anti it for all of their operators.

However I don"t know what the network"s stance is on players who may have earned it previously.

What I cannot see happening going forward is APAT offering rakeback....quote what that does to players who might currently receive, I genuinely don"t know yet.

I do know that we want to run the online room in an entirely fair way and one that sits very clearly with the operating guidelines of the network.

It"s a bit tricky hence the cautionary answer, but we"d like to get it right.

A bit of a late response to this, have been offline much of the week

I am pretty sure this is a fantastic move for APAT, and will do much to drive it forward in the years ahead. Certainly the right people are involved in the team to do that.

A combination of things means I have to step aside from that team, but I very much hope I"ll be updating a good number of APATs going forward on an ad-hoc basis. I might play the odd one too.

This will allow me to kid myself, right up until the cards are dealt, that I know a good deal about all of your playing styles and tendencies and I can play accordingly :D

All the best to everyone, see lots of you at DTD I hope!
