I"ve played online for 10 minutes mate, its an easy game, 25p you say? call. Another 25p you say? Well i"ve got another 40* cards to come. Call. Another 25p? Why not. You"re showing 4 aces? I"ll have you out kicked. Call. Easy game x

*approx.. this is based on a rough estimate as I lost count after 4

By the way.. I thought the shares were for Portugal? and more importantly why havent you booked yet? x

Had one of my oldest and best mates over on Saturday night, lives about 30 mins away and we meet up every month for a few beers, he doesn"t play live poker and is just learning online but we normally have a few beers and end up playing heads up over a few more beers and having a laugh.. by 4am I had been owned completely and lost 3 nill. I blamed the lager we were drinking as it wasnt giving me the skills Guinness does  ;D

We got talking about my relationship fails and I confirmed that I"d given up.. he suggested giving online dating a go which I laughed at.. been there done that my one experience was a complete disaster.. would no way go through that again.. its a long story but here it is in summary :

1. Night out in Yarm, local nightclub, lose my friends
2. 2 girls start chatting to me, one of them is keen, and as I"m cornered give her my number
3. Receive text the next day and I explain she wasnt really my type
4. She doesnt take this well
5. Few weeks later back in nightclub, her drunk mate spots me
6. Receive a torrent of abuse from her in front of all my friends. Friends find this hilarious
7. Sigh
8. Register for online dating, start chatting to lovely girl
9. We arrange to meet for lunch
10. Pull into carpark at the exact moment she is pulling in
11. We both realise at that moment that we recognise each other
12. She was the drunk lass from a few weeks early who"d given me the grief
13. We both wind down windows
14. More grief
15. FML

Online dating. Blurry online photos of girls. Not for the win   :-\

Mr Brightside view. Bullet dodged. Eventually  ;D

There were some encouraging words in a thread on Blonde recently about "plenty of fish"

Failing which, you"re rather attractive as a prospective son-in-law ... ;-)

Very proud to see the Stockton Massive progress in the APAT Online Cup, we were in the largest division and up against some tough competition. WP to my team mates who all scored extremely well over the 4 games, Brian, Gary and Don.

Congrats to Debs and her gang on qualifying as well, they have an excellent team and will be hoping to avoid them in later rounds. Looking forward to the next phase immensely which I guess will be the quarter finals  ;D

WP to Piston Broke, Mango Loves his Donkey, Norfolk Kings, Team Tartan and last but no means least Mary"s Small Geegees. The league was played in great spirit and I really enjoyed the banter, top bananas the lot of them.

Happy days x

So we"re nearly there.. I don"t do countdowns but this week has certainly dragged. Mr Stu Ward is driving me down on Friday, aiming for 2ish arrival.. plenty of time to sup a Guinness or 2 before the Stud starts at 6. Was really expecting an earlier start so not sure if extra beer pre tournament will be a good or bad thing. I think I"ll vote option B.

Really will not have a clue on Friday evening, reminds me of the time I played the Razz at the Vic. I"d just watched a couple of youtube videos on the morning to see what on earth it was all about. I"m sure it will be a giggle, and I"m sure someone will enjoy my chips. I"ll be amongst some fantastic people, having a laugh. Will be happy days.

Had a fantastic walk with the new pooch tonight, settled down with a few beers and then spent the evening on and off the phone to a well known APAT"er with laptop problems after browsing certain specialist websites  ;D took a few goes but the person who will remain nameless is now happy and is not being prompted to spend $100 to the police to remove all the warnings that popped up on boot up haha.

As I was typing the above same person rang me, and wondered why I was answering the phone as he thought he was ringing his other half  ;D  ;D .. I said hang on.. I"ll just put her on.. haha.. as Ger would say. Priceless.

;D... although theres a fine though between too few and too many.. too few and my lips are sealed.. too many and my lips are completely uncoordinated  :-\ I would guess the sweet spot would be around 5-6.. but when you get that point, its already too late and slope is all too slippery ending up with me just nodding alot at people. Inside my head I"m having amazing banter and what I want to say is genius. Outside resembles someone just getting off a yellow bus  :-[
