Chezger Report...

Weekend was immense, managed to get away on Friday and play the aquarium which was as random as expected.. managed to luck box my way through and could even afford to lose with AA against K10, ended up up on the final table and as the hour was getting late we chopped it 6 handed as its the Aquarium rules not run past (insert time here.. had no idea.. guinness oclock lets call it). Good start to the weekend for me, Stu (who won the chipback county thing and got over 100 quid for his luckboxering), Adam and Carl Shogun.

Back to Gers for more beer and a SnG which when it got to around 4amish and I ran well again and we decided to chop 3 ways between myself, the wee man and local nice fella Wayne.

Saturday involved lunch at the boot room restaurant with Stu feeling flush and purchasing the most expensive kebab of all time...

And me getting grief from Dawn for eating my pizza like a girl and not like I was from New York.

The main Chezger game started well and then went downhill to badly wrong with someone miss reading my stack and calling my all in when he told me outside after he"d have folded his 88 if he"d know it was "that much" haha. Anyway it was all good.

Now at this point I SHOULD of gone to the pub with the wee man and Dawn and co.. but decided to be a good mate and wait for Stu as he was short and pushing things like K2 into AA.. told the wee man we"d be there soon.. but no Stu then got involved in some mentalness with Rob S, Scouse and Dan O where they were actually making up games and sweats as they went along.

Will let Stu tell you about the game of war they played. And him getting all excited getting an Ace (played as high) vs Scouse"s K and then only to see Dan O get another Ace.. then Stu being dealt a 2.. and Dan O being dealt a 3  ;D

A SnG was put together with myself, JP, Rob S, Stu and 2 local lads which I managed to scrape into 2nd for a cash, which I then donked straight off on the cash table that followed. Having had enough of poker decided to grab more beer and with the wee man back from the pub start to play the most tilting game of "i don"t know what it was called" poker which I managed to try and escape from at least 3 times, once even hiding in the garden only for Joobs to find me and drag me back to.

In then descended into utter carnage as money got involved and at one point i just chucked all my money, credit cards, blockbuster membership and driving licence to Adam with the words just fecking take it.. take the fecking lot  ;D

Lots of goodbyes to the Chezger crowd who are an amazing bunch. Ger really is a legend and I love him dearly for putting on the weekend. Remember telling Ger a little slurry how lucky I feel for having such people in my life. Really am lucky though.. Mr brightside for the win.

Bed at around 5.30am (after late night giggling fits and me ending up with a chicken on my head) and a struggle to get to the cafe in Chester the next morning / lunchtime for an all day breakfast before saying goodbyes.. lots of hugs and then a drive home with a sleeping Stu.

Happy days. Roll on the next one x

So its the usual epic post poker weekend come down.. laughing till you nearly wee.. then back to reality with a bump.. weather is crappy and mega busy with work, had a meeting today with a "penetration testing" company.. no that kind of penetration.. some company that wants to try and break my code to prove that its worthy to be rolled out as part of the contract I"m working on. They used words I didn"t understand and I nodded lots. And smiled. Hoping they wouldnt ask me any difficult questions. And then they said they were going to charge me 10k+ just for the honour of them trying to break my system. Think I"m in the wrong game here.

Of to Todmorden / Halifax tomorrow.. but looking at the weather out there may need to get the old armbands on and start swimming.. just there for a day so no local casino banter unfortunately.

Got some provisional dates for the Fresno California trip.. 29th to the 31st of October. Luckily this doesnt impact on any APAT events, Yarm invasion.. but had to break it to Anna that I wouldnt be around for Halloween. Anna LOVES Halloween and starts prepping for it around her birthday which is May  ::) we spend loads of late nights scrolling through fancy dress (for some reason she likes dressing up.. not sure where she gets that from) planning trick or treating.. what outfit to put on the dog haha etc. . this was looking like a winner..

Might have to extend Halloween this year by a day or two me thinks.. I mean if I can have my Christmas tree up still I can"t see the problem :) x

Good call JP.. however.. theres a slight difference between

a) Scaring the bejesus
and
b) Permanent mental scarring

Now I was just talking about this at the pub.. but then I was also considering Vegas / LA afterwards... now Anna does look older than her 12 years, but 21 maybe pushing it a little.. dilemma.. plus and this is a big plus.. there"s the ex wife to persuade this would be a good idea  :-\

Just been reminiscing with Anna about school and she wondered if I had any school class photos.. of which I had none, but then remembered this one when I used to play for the school football team..

(front row.. 2nd from the right.. oh the days I had loads of hair ;D )

Think I was the only one in the team whos parents hadnt bought their kid proper football boots  :-\

I hated school and couldnt wait to leave.. the thought of going onto college and then university was neither suggested, encouraged and to be honest back then the though of more "school" was the worst idea of all time.. but these were happy memories  :D
