Legs are killing today though.. but got round... here"s gary and I at the start :
I decided against the orange face paint so just went with the red sweaty version after around 1 mile haha. This resulting in one kid thinking I was Mario, and another shouting out "are you supposed to be the Joker". Sigh
For those who were wondering how long it took us...
Mark Wright 1hr 51 (beating his PB by 8 mins from last year.. well done mate)
Gary Palmer 2hr 21 (who ran the whole thing with his face covered and sunglasses on.. amazing effort mate)
and me.. Phil TC 2hr 53 (managed only two pub stops along the way having a half in the first as it was something like the laughtered lamb and the four blokes in there wondered who the hell this sweaty ooompa lumpa was haha.. then a fantastic pint with around a mile and a half to go).. to be fair my Nike tracking chip says I actually ran 13.48 miles.. but the extra half a mile would have been walking to / around / back from the pubs haha.
Overall a fantastic day, we"ve smashed the target set for the charity and have raised well over £1000 between the 3 of us.
