Very unlucky there Ger, most people would have done exactly the same!

Ben Cundall, who in my experience is great value in these events, for the other players  :D raises the small blind to 350

Maria Demetriou makes it 900 in the big blind

Cundall calls

flop A-3-4

Cundall check calls 1200

check check on the 5 turn

Cundall 3,000 on the 8 river

Demetriou folds K-K face up and is shown 5-5

Not to worry though, Maria then decides to raise with  7c 3c

she flops a flush, and is paid when Karen Mead turns trips

She"s back above starting stack

Was going to say hello to Andrew Duncan in person, but I knew it would only lead to a long discussion about exchange rates

So hello Andrew.

Dan Owston vs Robert Garrard

I get there after the flop has been dealt Qd 5c 2d

Robert leads out for 450. Owston raises to 1125. Robert min pops it back for 2250. Owston after some speech play wizardy "should I call? should I fold?" 4-bets it to 5025.

Robert mucks.

Owston shows the table 3d 4d

Brian Yates says, in the wake of Black Country sorry BLACK COUNTRY club allegations, that his hands are clean

(and that his sunglasses are ridiculous for a middle aged man inside a club in Nottingham on a cloudy day)
