i dont see how they can have 150 each day..would that not mean the final 2 tables would be played on the 3rd day?

I"d guess that each day 1..the group for the day plays down to a given number (9 or 10?) then both "Final Tables" play to a finish as a group of 18/20.

That"s the way the WSOP do it..

I can only play the Sunday, if nobody has any complaints. Having a wedding the Saturday!!

As soon as the announcement is made i"ll be there.......but not a click fest please!!!!

Sorry Mark but you have to play on Saturday (if you get in), what's wrong with a click fest? With a possible 300 entrants they should be room for everybody even you. There will be no registration on the day you have to buy your seat before. You can not do another Dublin  ;D

i guess this would mean that day 2 would be finishing really late...i can see this causing trouble for people that can only play on certain days....

hopefully this time i get in and dont need to book my flights and hotel the night before it starts

Admittedly, I don"t play in Casinos in the UK often (just a APAT events) but....Wow...look at the charges for the tourneys...10%+...Cash Games are even more and that"s PER HOUR...it"s a wonder they get any business!

Thank the heavens for Home Games.

That"s not quite how the WSOP do it... Each day 1 and each day 2 play to a set time, not to a set number of people.

Could APA confirm if possible, with the event looking like 2 x day 1"s. In relation to that allocation are players gonna be able to choose which day, f they have prior committments etc??? how will these days be allocated?

Probably not at this late stage. The official announcement is due end of this week so all will be revealed then, I"d guess.

Just please let it not be a click fest.

Heard the rumours of a 400 player event.

Why not 3 or 4  x £15 buy in tourney on stars.  One in 5 through

Couple of local live qualifiers in the casino

Then the obligatory clickfest!!

Anyone worked out I am bitter cos my email is so slow I missed Ireland!!

I"m confident that the APA have all this worked out and that it will all go nice and smooothly even if it is a click fest...

But with it only just over 3 weeks away I can"t see it being anything other than a first come first served e-mail thing

I reckon that the two Day 1s will be for the same duration or until a certain number of players remain.  At the Edinburgh tourney, we were less than a minute from ending day 1 when we were reduced to 20 players.  When we resumed the next day, we then played one hand before the blinds increased.

I hope that we get the option of choosing which Day 1.  Saturday would suit me fine and not just because Mark wants to play Sunday.  As I live in London, it will only take an hour on the train so I don"t need to stay over.

It would be good if there were live and on-line satellites but I would prefer a ballot rather than a click fest.  In the past, I have not been able to get to the computer at the set time.

The problem with a ballot is that people will be happy to enter a ballot just in case they can go. So it"s likely to have a higher number of people dropping out.

Whilst this is good for people on the reserve list who are then able to make it to the venue not all of us only live a single short train ride away so it discriminates against those who live too far away.

I think a small proportion of places through satellites and a first come first served "clickfest" is the right balance.
