Have learned my lesson, will confine my rants to verbal ones, and I also now know that beetroot is the devil`s food.

BUT.......... why do so many hands hit. Is it just because so many people fish that you get to see all 5 cards and therefore you see cards that wouldn`t normally see.

I also hate the fact that I can`t see more than one lobby

oops sorry this was meant to be a verbal rant

Now, that, I completely agree with.  Very frustrating.

FWIW, Leigh knows my feelings about the poker.co.uk site...........but I will absolutely continue to use it, to support what the team are trying to build around the APAT name. They"ve done nothing but good for all beginners, recreational players and each of us trying to continue to learn and grow from the knowledge and experience of other members.  I"m sure we will be duly rewarded with new initiatives, ideas and AV as Des & the guys build this even more.

Let"s all get in amongst it and contribute our bit as well  8)

I went on a date once.. and arranged a second date. She invited me to hers for a meal. All excited I turned up. She had made chicken and beetroot salad. We didn"t have a third date. True story.

With regards the poker site. To be fair I like it. It works. It gives me cards. It tells me how I won / lost at Omaha H/L. I can chat crap all night in the chatbox. I haven"t been banned yet. Its happy days. I don"t like beetroot though x

Closely followed by "wtf, did I win then?" coming up in the chat box. Or "how did i lose that with trip kings".   :D

I clicked the auto-rebuy box the other night, lost all my chips and was given a top-up. So far, nothing unusual.

After the next hand, I had lost 10 or 20 and was down to 1480 or 1490. The auto-rebuy kicked in and immediately topped me up again. You could rebuy if you had less than 1500 but the auto-rebuy also activates at that level rather than zero.

A very clever way to increase the rebuys.

[By "very clever" I mean "sneaky"].

This is correct (in that it"s the way it"s supposed to happen; not that it"s "sneaky").

Following the last rebuy event we ran where you had to get to zero chips before you could rebuy, so many players complained ("why can"t you rebuy at or below starting stack?") that the decision was made to change it. This was posted on the rebuy threads at the time, and 100% of players agreed it would be a better way of running it.

However, now we"ve done it, it looks like we"re going to get complaints (even from some of the same group of people as before!) saying "Why isn"t the rebuy set for when you get to zero chips...".

Having the option to rebuy at starting stack or lower is not the same as the auto-rebuy triggering at starting stack. I"ve can"t recall ever seeing that before.

If you have the "auto rebuy" option ticked, it will action a rebuy whenever you would normally have the option to rebuy.

e.g. if the rebuy rule is set that you need to be at zero chips, then as soon as you hit zero chips it will auto-rebuy. Likewise, if it"s set to "starting stack" then you will auto-rebuy as soon as you have starting stack or less. (This will be 2nd hand if you tick the boxes right at the start).

This is the way Boss has always done it. I guess other sites may do it differently?

Thread has completely derailed imo.

Everybody going on about rebuys and boxes popping up. This thread was about beetroot.

Hi there, yes this is normal.

If you lose connection to the software, first it will try and reconnect you (for 30+ seconds or so). If that fails, it will shut down the software and restart it. When the software launches it automatically checks for updates (it isn"t actually doing any updates, just checking for them).

How are you connected to the internet? Is it wifi, and set to channel 1? Do you ever use programs like msn, where friends tell you you are constantly signing in and out? This is a good sign of a dodgy connection.
