I take it the people playing the SNG satellites will be APAT members?

I can"t help but feel a mistake has been made choosing the Alea as a choice of venue.  Sure, it"s big, it"s on the Waterfront and it looks nice, but the way things are organised in that place is ridiculous.  The Genting is maybe another option to consider in future :)

My concern with the Alea, although I guess this could relate to any casino, was that I played the £200 festival in the summer there but some of the locals that came along for the normal Saturday ended up entering it. I had two at my table who literally were 3 and 4 betting each other blind every other hand while enjoying way too many beers. I got stuck in the middle of one of these altercations with my AA which I obviously wasn"t folding and was bust when my flopped set lost out to one of the guy"s straight on the river - he committed himself blind preflop with 53os! I don"t mind losing a hand but these guys turned up for the usual £20 turbo afternoon game, were getting well trashed and decided to "play" this tournament! There was no poker getting played and the whole table were p1ssed off with proceedings.

Level?

This is obviously great for many poker and non poker reasons.

Still trying to think of something amusing to write in this bit.

This was early in the tournament - think blinds were 100/200. I reraised the first guy and second says I can"t let you get away with stealing my BB to his mate pretty much ignoring the fact as I was in the hand. He reraises and his mate reraises him back. I"m obviously happy with this situation and move in at this point for the BB to call and then start goading his mate to call who eventually folds. It was great for us who were waiting for a hand to get involved with their little party but they were hitting everything in sight or people were just folding to protect their tournament. I"m pretty sure they would have got big stacks and spewed it away in the next few levels.

Debjani and I can no longer make the event; frustrating since we already have non-refundable travel arrangements.

Please remove us both from the reserved seat list. Many thanks.
