Myles,

Can you give a little bit more detail as to your thoughts around the re-entries.  What makes it +ev for you to re-enter ?

From a stakers point of view, surely it is -ev, especially as you mention if you have some early cashes that you will poll stakers about using that for additional bullets in later tourneys.

Also, with these types of local festivals, I"m assuming a lot of deals and chops will take place.  Thoughts on this ?

It"s quite a big jump from your previous staking requests, so I"m sure you can appreciate there may be a few questions from people along the way.

Cheers,

Leigh

Thanks for the quick response Leigh and appreciate the comments.

My reasoning for including the re-entry amounts is purely to have an extra bulllet available should we have a massive hand outdrawn in the early stages or get badly coolered pre-flop i.e QQ+ running into KK+.  I just feel that it would give us a second chance in each tourney should this happen and still leave us with a shot at getting into the money where the additional buy-in used would be recouped.

TBH I have never ever re-entered any tournies that I have played since this relativley new concept has been introduced and in fact never needed to either so honestly expect to be returning all of the re-entry buy-ins back into the closing BR.  In writing the proposal I just felt that as all of the events apart from one are re-entry, which they have never done before btw, that re-entry allowances should be included.

Think slight confusion re the cashes being made available for additional re-entries to later tournies......I wasnt meaning this at all and any cashes made will be added to the Closing/Running BR and only re-entries budgeted for or ones not used(after polling investors) would be made available for future re-entries if needed.

Like I mentioned in the proposal and above I sincerely hope to be returning all of the re-entry allowances back into the BR and not having to use any of them as I am not going to be playing recklessly just because I know I have a second bullet available and they will only be used if we suffer a horrible beat in any of the opening stages, if I make a bad play or bad decision to call an all-in during the re-entry period and feel that I am not playing my A game I will not use the re-entry and just mosey on home!!

Regarding deals there will probably be bubble deals offered for buy-in amount back which I tend to agree with as its always nice to be freerolling but I obv do understand bubble play and how crucial this can be in building a healthy stack during the bubble and in bigger tournies such as these I would more than likely object to them.  Regarding final table deals again this all depends on the situation and I will normally only accept a deal if I know that it is in my /our benefit to do so.

However if investors want a NO deal policy to be included then Im happy to go along with this.

Likewise if investors feel that the re-entries should be scrapped then again Im happy to re-calculate the buy-ins and go along with only having the one life available to us.

I do obv understand that this is a higher request than previously put forward but feel that being able to play all events rather than just 1/2 of them should reduce our variance and give us a much better chance in cashing for a significant amount over the festival rather than just putting our eggs all in one basket and going for the big score in the Main Event.  Previously Ive really only been able to play 1/2 events due to work etc. but am able to get time off easier now and feel that playing all events(if rested enough) will give us a much better chance of ending the stake with a nice profit on the week.

Hope this helps but if Ive missed anything lemme know!!

As I thought it only fair that previuos investors have their opportunity to take share before opening to new investors.....couple of previous investors missed opportunity before and didnt want that to happen again.

Pretty sure that full 60/70% wont be taken by previous investors which is why suggested that new investors post request to pre-book their % for when it is open to them

I would feel more confident if you were keeping 50% of yourself. If you are confident you will do well then time to put your money where your mouth is.  ;D

If it"s a question of bankroll management then just play the main event and a couple of side events rather than the whole week and keep a bigger percentage.

Saying that, schedule does look tasty. May take a percentage nearer the time.

Cheers for feedback Mark....muchly appreciated and respected as u know.

As stated in OP if only 40/50% sells Im happy to take the extra chunk for myself.....reasoning for opening so much up to investors is:

1) Im actually happy to play for 30/40% of myself if it means that everyone who wants to invest is able to.
2) Didnt want same scenario as previous stake where sold out in 24hrs and not everyone who wanted some action was able to get some unless I played for 10/20% of myself which tbh is not enough!!

I based the % on the amount sold of previous stakes albeit this is obv a much higher total request and I dont expect previous investors to take as much of a percentage but I still wanted to have the % there available should it look like selling out and backers still wanted to invest.

Tbh if I were to just play the Main Event I would prob only be looking at selling 10-20% if any at all which was one of my reasons for deciding to play the full festival and open up a much higher % to investors.

Hope that makes sense!!
