Jimmy Eck is now up with the echelon of chip leaders. He just eliminated Naz Wrigley and another opponent in the same hand. Eck had Kh Ks, Naz had Ah Jc and the 3rd player had A s Jd. It all went in preflop.

The board ran out 2s 2c 10h Qd 4c and we are 2 players less, with Eck raking in the 50k+ pot.

is jimmy Eck the better poker player family member of james Eck

Aye.

Chip counts for Steve Roderick and Asa McGrath please

Thanks for the updates.

Rodders had 25k when I asked him. Then he found Queens and raised to 725. One of the locals 3-bet to 2200 from the SB and Rodders called. They both checked the A-A-3 flop and the local bet 2500 on the J turn. Rodders called this, then called the 3600 river bet after a 4 peeled off. Queens were good and he now has 33k. He"s sat next to Craig "Zozzy" Dawson who also has around 33k.

Asa has 16.7k and is "card dead".

Thanks Adam

We are on a 15 minute break. This gave me the opportunity to present Paul Sefton with his gold medal for winning the ECOAP Online Main Event. Photo courtesy of Adam (who I keep calling Leigh):

Just to make it clear: I am doing a "thumbs up" gesture here :)

Phil TC gets into a raising war with 22 against mateyboy"s 23o. The flop of A2x gives him his set, and a slew of further betting ensues. Turn 4. More betting. River 5. More betting.

16k pot heads away from Phil to mateyboy. Phil is "over the moon".

Michelle Gascoine is out after getting crippled in a hand with Frank Bailie where she raised Queens and Frank called with A-J. The flop was Jack high and it all went in on a blank turn, but the Irishman rivered another Jack to leave Michelle with shrapnel.

Very next hand she found 7-2 suited and shoved when it was folded to her. The blinds called and although Michelle flopped a 2, both guys had flopped an Ace and it was eventually James Ellis who won the pot, eliminating Michelle in the process.

G-Mac down to 675 chips when his JJ was no match for an all-in preflop confrontation against TT. The river brought the dreaded Ten. (The dealer used to deal for Pokerstars).

There is a fairly loud table behind me with Curlarge, Michelle, Lucy and Damian Bailie.

The number of people I actually know the name of in this tournament is drastically shrinking. This is not good.

G-Mac heads to the bar after a sb vs bb (him) aipf. sb puts G-Mac all in (he only has 1500). With already 400 of his stack committed he has to call blind.

sb flips K9, G-Mac flips J8.

The board doesn"t help, and he heads to the rail.

As I post this, John Little cracks Kings with his Jacks and moves over 70k to take the chiplead.
