Big well done Andy - shame about the footy spoiling the weekend but i suppose 4000 euros and seat in GPTUK is a great consolation.

Me and Phil escpaed the Orange Alcatraz only to get to Bratislava at around 10.30pm last night and found that we were booked into a Slovakian knocking shop/Hostel recruitment centre.

What a weekend - well done APAT for teh whole event.

Oh by the way the Scouser that was asleep in the reception - i am sure he was a brummie - just as hard to understand like if you are Austrian.

Looking forward to Edinburgh and the rest of the series.

He was from Wolverhampton that lad who was having difficulty getting  in (standing).

Well done Andy great win.  Think I will go for the treble and see if I can get 3 apat champs in the car next time.

Best wishes to everybody I met over the weekend  Steve,Andy,Wolves man, John S (thanks for the lift) Phil, Tim, Leigh, and others who I may have forgotten to include.

And thanks again Des and Richard for another memorable weekend of excitement and anticipation (and that was just opening the hotel room door).

Hope to see you all again soon. Best of luck till we meet again.

Don :D

Back home now.  Forgot to post earlier a very well done to Linda, even though she did knock me out.

At one point there on the final table I really thought it was going to be her tournament, but the cards went against her a bit.

Still an excellent perfomance and well deserved 4th.

Just want to echo everyone"s thoughts and say a HUGE thanks to the APAT team for putting on an excellent tournament, was a pleasure meeting everyone too many names to mention (but Zoltan.. sorry for the bubble bust instead of me), great weekend all round. John S.. you"re a star mate, apologies for getting us lost in Vienna on the way to the errm "hostel" in bratislava ;) hope your phone turned up mate.

To Andy and Linda you both played excellently and congrats to Andy, well deserved mate, top man (woop woop).

Hopefully see you all in Edinburgh..

phone was in my case mate, was gonna text you - but battery is dead.

Atleast we saw the sights (and some) and we got to taste the "local" delights (still not sure if cheese pasties are austrian but we will take their word for it).

Good luck at the tables Smoggy.

Hi to all the APAT"lers from Wiener Neustadt!

Was great having you guys here - lots of fun and good action, very nice poker played (and I guess some of you quite enjoyed our beer  ;D).

Anyhow we hope you enjoyed your stay and there will be another APAT tourney in our cardroom next season - or whenever.

Take care - and once more: "Best of luck and success!"
