Loving the idea of this challenge and will have a go, however I would suggest taking bigger odds on betfair or betdaq and paying the commission, as I am fairly confident the plan will come unstuck when you regularly try and get 4 figure bets on long odds on shots with most well known bookies, you just wont get on. Right here goes I have laid £10 @1-5 about there being no goal in the first 10 minutes of the stoke v newcastle game hopefully will get me up to £11.90 after my 5% deduction from my £2 profit.

http://gototletitride.blogspot.co.uk/ Bet 9 Placed!

Looks a good bet and was tempted to follow you in, but in the end decided to have a relaxing evening* and get on my College Hoops pick early... Bet 10 -

I"ve had to move the roll to Blue Square as this was only 1/12 on PP.

*There are bound to be plenty of 1/10 shots in the Man Utd/West ham game and I didn"t want to be tempted to bet against the Super Hammers!! :D
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space.

Well there is £1,981,491 currently unmatched on Betfair on the result of the 2012/13 Biathlon Mens WC Winner.

If only this were the only flaw in the plan!!  £1000 will be circa 45 consecutive winning bets... I am totally amazed that I have got as far as 9 without going bust.  :o

Good luck with your picks.

2nd bet
£12.18 in-play
Zagreb to beat Mondeville @ 1.11

Can someone please explain this to me - it may be critical later when there is £9000 at risk

I placed the above bet
I whet to check how I was doing and noticed a new "cash-out" button
I had the option to cash out for £13.53 giving me a profit of £1.35
As the profit was £1.34 on my original bet I opted to cash out
Now I have £12.18 in my account (my stake on this bet)
If Zagreb win I get £1.05 ?????
If Mondeville win I get £16.53

Come on Mondeville (I think!)

Found the explanation for the "cash out" but still can"t see how the math worked in my example above.

What is Cash Out?

Cash Out is a product from Betfair that allows you to lock in a profit or loss before waiting for the event to finish.

Betfair do the maths to offer you a value in real time of your current bets based on the live market prices.

Using a single click you can cash out of all bets placed on a single market.
Important Points

Cash Out is available on a wide variety of Betfair markets.

The Cash Out icon is displayed for the markets where Cash Out is available. Cash Out may not be available at times where there is low liquidity in a market.

Cash Out automatically places bets on the Betfair market to lock in a position. The Cash Out value shown is the minimum amount you would receive if you were to make a successful Cash Out.

Cash Out amounts are not guaranteed as they are based on live Betfair markets where prices are constantly moving. This means you may receive more than indicated, or your Cash Out may be unsuccessful or only partially successful.

If a Cash Out is unsuccessful or partially successful then we will offer you a new Cash Out amount based on your revised position and the current prices in the Betfair market.

Any reduction in exposure will be credited back to your account after placing a successful cash out, and any profit made on the market will be paid when the market is settled.
