If you are reading this then it means I have been eliminated from the APAT tournament in Stoke and am now tired and bored!

Which is probably not the best time to be picking a "horse"s on which to risk my bankroll...but I"ve done it anyway.

Bet 13 - NBA LA Clippers to win, £45.16 @ 1/10.

Clippers win easily. Balance now £50.67.

This bet was placed via my phone and somehow I managed to stake £45.16 instead of the full balance of £46.15, so lost out on 10p profit!!

Bet 7 is £19.49 @ 1.11 (didn"t get the other £1.11 matched and then couldn"t place it at 1.1 as it was below the minimun bet)

After picking two potential bets yesterday ( one NBA, one NCAAB), but being too tired to be bothered doing any research (both would have won), today sees a debut punt on European basketball.

Placed in-running, with Walden 2-1 up (race to 6) and in the balls... the minute I pressed "Confirm Bet" he misses a straightforward red... now 2-2 and 4/7. FML!!!!

Bet 15 LOSES  Balance now £0.00

So what have we learned from it?

- Don"t bet for the sake of it... that"s what mug punters do. If you had a look and don"t fancy anything then don"t change you mind.

- Stick with team sports... as Mark pointed out, either here or on his blog, individuals can have a bad day and lose against the odds, but if an individual in a team has a bad day the team can still win.

- Stick to sports you know plenty about... like Indian soccerball and Lithuanian basketball.  ::)

- Don"t back a "bottler" like Ricky Walden!!

Any way... I"ll have one more try! Onwards and upwards... This time next year, Rodney, we"ll be miwyanaires.
