I telll you what, if this weekend in Killarney was anything to go by I will be spending all my time at the roulette table and not playing poker.

It was a good weekend met up with Laxie and family and had a great time.

Highlight was watching her two daughters playing in the North Cork Gaelic Football championship. Eldest, Sinead, has a mean elbow (wonder where she gets that from) and scored two goals as they crushed the oppostion -- well played girls.

The poker sucked but had a few bevvies to ease the pain.  The cash tables were manic (7 euro rake from each player every 30 mins was a bit steep)

However the straddling was so bad they had to limit it to one per game. Anyway on one table the action was thus

1/2 Euro NLHE

UTG 5 Euro straddle
UTG +1 pass
Mid pass
Mid -- "bet 800"  FFS its a 8 Euro pot

nuff said. Played tight as a ducks arse and still managed to get all my chips in ahead only to lose to players that were fishier than a Billingsgate employee.

Oh yes and Laxies 11 year old daughter owned me at cards and poker dice

Fk my life

Bring on Vegas

N.B. Paul (M3BOY) managed a credible 11th in the main event - has some game that fella

Chezger hit Vegas in November and as usual our travel arrangements are a little staggered ...... 2 arrive Thursday 6th - 3 arrive Sat 8th. Therefore I have only planned the weekend in detail, the schedule will change for the week because the Venetian Deep Stack tourney is on and we will obv play in some of those.

The only cash games I will play will be $2 $4 limit HE (cos i"m a drinken bum) and will be utilised to get even drunker while not losing a lot

So timetable for the frist weekend is

Thursday 6th November 2008
arrive @ 16:00 -- check in -- relax with a few beers

Friday 7th November 2008
10:00 -- Planet Hollywood $78 -- 4k chips -- 20 min clock
14:00 -- Planet Hollywood $100 -- 4k chips -- 20 min clock
19:00 --  Treasure Island $150 -- 5k chips -- 30 min clock (Head Hunter $50 a head)

Saturday 8th November 2008
10:00 -- Planet Hollywood $78 -- 4k chips -- 20 min clock
14:00 --  Treasure Island $82 -- 3.5k chips -- 20 min clock
PM -- Few beers and watch Joe Calzagi fight

Sunday 9th November 2008
AM -- relax and stroll the strip
12:00 -- Venetian Deep Stack -- $330 ==  12.5k chips -- 40 min clock (delicious)

Rest of week by popular concensus and I will of course attempt to update this tread with the good, the bad and the downright ugly

Chezger are playing in the Dublin IPO next weekend and will update with progress then as well

Bring it on

Both Caesars and the Venetian have deepstack festivals running while we are there.

It"s my first Chezger tour - I"ve been to Vegas about a dozen times but never played at Treasure Island - the Friday night tourney will be ideal as I"ll arrive at the IP about 2.30. Just enough time for 12 Coronas before the tourney starts.

Apparently Chezger are all professionals at the table game known as Crazy Poker. It must require a huge level of luck skill.

Beginning to look forward to this now.

Exactly how early do you plan on waking up Sunday?!

Delighted to hear your faith in poker has returned.  That roulette"s a killer.  Would make losing to playing Sarah sound fun.  lol

Side note.  I have some bad news for you.  No drink allowed in the card room at the Dublin IPO.  Scandalous!!!  I"ll be composing a strongly worded letter and sending it to someone.  Just not sure who yet.  See you lads on Saturday night!

Very jealous.

I think an APAT Las Vegas outing should be on the schedule for S3...

Dublin IPO Plan A versus Plan B

Plan A

1. Early night tonight, go to bed sober and get a good nights sleep
2. Up at 4:30am Saturday - Breakfast of Muesli and bananas - fibre and energy
3. Get flight and arrive in Dubln refreshed
4. Get to the Regency hotel and avail of their Gym and pool
5. Eat a light lunch of boiled chicken and fresh Salad
6. Start like a rock for the first few levels and study the form
7. No drink for the whole of Saturday and play the "A" game

Plan B to follow
