APAT - The Cash Game. Interest?
« on: December 08, 2012, 12:57:06 PM »
Hi all

This has been discussed for a while but we have never really got a proper one going. Now APAT has it"s own card room there are private tables that we could use to have an online game at some time. With The Holidays coming up (Happy Holidays btw) there are going to be times where we all have nothing to do. I am therefore suggesting that we plan a time and date to play a cash game, maybe we could even do two at once, PLO and NLHE.

If anybody is interested let"s find out:-

1) When is the best time for people to play?
2) What stakes would people like to play?

If we get enough interest then I think we can get it setp.

I"d be interested in playing. Any time I"m around is good with me, and I"m happy to play up to .50/1 blinds.

It would be good to see those tables getting some use! I"d also be interested in some private STTs. If enough interest, perhaps we could set up some kind of mini league?...

I"d be interested. Like Matt .50/1 limit for me at this stage. Also some STT"s would be good :)

Just a suggestion, but why not create a facebook Private APAT Cash/STT page ... we had one for the ld 888 Video Poker group and was a good way of letting people know you where there for a game if others were not logged into APAT or 888 at the time.

We have a good platform to reach out to people there ... may as well use it  ;D

With my bankroll the way it is at the minute, .50/1 is wayyyy out Of reach, I"m playing .05/.10 at the minute!! If I manage to keep grinding it up I will join you eventually :p

Interested.

But .50/£1 seems a bit steep given the amount of hands you could get through.

What site do you play on mate and what game? A smaller game would also be fine imo.

We could do both no problem. To be honest 50p/£1 does sound high for what is basically a friendly online game, I would have thought most people would be quitting the game after losing one or two buyins which can easily happen in cash. I will play it if it runs, but think it would be more fun to play smaller if it is a game with friends. 25c/50c seems ideal as it is a good game but you will not be too worried about losing a few buyins.

Michelle"s Facebook group suggestion is a good one. I have a blog post to write then I will create one. That would have the added advantage of people being able to arrange a sitngo etc if they wanted.

Hopefully a few more people will post an interest soon

Aye, I"m saying .50/1 is the very highest I"d be prepared to play. I"d be just as happy (more probably) playing 0.10/0.20 (the lowest private table) or .25/.50

Yeah either of those are fine with me too. I created a facebook group, not sure I did it right as it"s ages since I made one. Pretty sure it should work you can"t really get it wrong. I made everybody admins basically.

I"ve just removed the bit of money I had on another poker site with intentions of depositing it on the APAT site.  I"ll definitely be supporting the site in some small way, but don"t think I"ve got enough to play cash games with you lot!  lol

No Facebook groups or other off-piste communication.

Facebook can be a useful extra for this I think. I find it useful in that it sends you a notification when someone posts on the cash game page, so I"m not likely to miss the action.

Though, I guess you can follow posts here too? (I"ve just clicked "notify").

In other news:
*SuperHans 1 - 0 cashman01 (card rackery from Hans!).
*SuperHans 0 - 1 tfeilding (the most ridic. luckbox!).
*SuperHans 0 - 1 JakeRomus (great comeback from 3k vs 1k chips!).
*SuperHans 0 - 1 Xzyzx

Totals:
*SuperHans 1 - 3 Rest of The World.

any more for any more? :)

Off the top of my head will be available from about 8pm on Christmas Day. Same time on Boxing Day as well.

Happy to play any stakes but would prefer .10/.20 as it would be against mates.
