Surely we can self umpire? With a restricted set of rules it"s basically about whether the ball hits the table or not, and whether Matt W is too loud/abusive/drunk. Now if the umpire fetches the balls, then happy days  :D

It"s surprisingly easy to forget the score when you"re playing and doing the scores at the same time. I think it would move things along at the hectic pace they need to be, if we had 1 person who has played before in each of the 4 leagues.

As for bats, sports centre say they will provide "basic" bats to make up any shortfall.
