Local casino, The Rendezvous Brighton, is again running a festival at the end of January, The WSOP.com Season Opener with £40k GTD throughout the festival.

I will be playing the £200+20 £15k GTD Main Event and am looking to sell up to 50% with NO mark-up.

This is a re-entry tournament but I have decided to only budget for one entry as I do not believe there is any huge value to be had with being in for more than the original buy-in!!

I have had some good runs in these festival Main Events recently and was unlucky in the latest one not to cash and possibly make FT finding myself on the end of a massive cooler with 14 left losing a top 2 pot with set over set  I am sure that something big is coming my way soon and with cards coming our way and Poker Gods on our side for once we stand as good a chance as any in taking this thing down!!

Little Bit About Me!!:

I have been playing poker for approx 15 years now starting off with 7-card stud and then progressing onto NLHE when the boom took off.

I have had some relatively nice scores for a recreational player both online & live in the UK and Vegas and have played multiple EPT, GUKPT, UKIPT and WSOP events.

I have also worked in the poker industry as Area Manager for a local pub league and as live updater/blogger for a poker website covering major live events.  Both of these jobs have enabled me to gain great knowledge of the game and see a huge variety of different styles of players playing our beloved game!!

Please note that the Venetian figures are actually incorrect as deals/savers were done and total cashes for the series were approx $25k.

Well that didnt go as planned ......got off to a reasonable start getting to 35k from 25k starting and then moved to a slightly crazy table.......3 players going all in and out with basically nothing within 3 hands of sitting down!!

Dropped to about 20k and never really got going after that.....constantly moving tables so never really got settled....managed to double up with AKvJJ but that was about it really....on the move again to new table full of good players.....made hero call with top pair and King kicker only to run into miracle two pair on river.....that left me in one move territory

Picked up   suited on button when folded around and jammed for approx 11k.....bb goes into tank for nearly 5 mins and finally calls with QJ....bit of a sick semi-slowroll imho as really are u folding in bb v btn scenario??......two spades on total brick flop and am looking good for double to get us slightly back in it and cutting his outs to just 4....obv poker gods decide to put   on river for us and its goodnight

Pretty happy with play again apart from a couple of bad calls/c-bets but with cards was getting dont think I had any other options really....made some nice lay-downs in tricky spots which cost me a few chips but yet again was pretty card dead throughout and didnt heve gods on my side when needed.
