Just got back from the Virgin festival in Newcastle so obviously did"nt do to well!
But yet again Tikay made the weekend extra special!
I met him for the first time when he did the commentry for the final table in Manchester, at the time I thought what a nice bloke, then over the last few months I"ve seen him repeatedly at DTD and elsewhere. My good friend Matt has posted elsewhere about the great amount of respect he has for the man after the "glasses fixing story"! This weekend took it to a whole new level!
After trying to get my friend Anand a seat nearly 10 times and bubbling twice, we set off to Newcastle with my playin and unlucky Anand as no more than a guest. We both chuckled when he got his lucky roulette number 23 on his golden ticket.
Just before the tourney started, Tikay did the intro in great style abusing both Maria and Lucy who had bounties on their heads then held up a special pass with the name GOLDEN BALLS on it. One lucky bugger will get to play this afternoon from the start, the lucky bugger with ticket........ twenty.........three.
We both did crap but thats not the point, completely made the weekend for both of us. (Well that and the two young ladies who took us out and about on the Friday night
)
A bit of a sucky post i know, but after listening to his excited voice read out every all in for 7 hours i just wanted to say thanks for making another weekend that extra bit Tikaytastic.
