Table 66 Action

Barry Carter in mid position pumps it up to 450 - called by Alastair Carins on the HiJack and Bruno Rilho from the BB

Flop comes down  Ah Kh 2c

Bruno checks, Barry checks, Alastair bets 550.....Bruno raises to 1125....Barry folds.

Alastair re pops to 3550, to which Bruno calls.

Turn is  5h

Bruno instantly announces all in.....Alastair isnt far behind in making the call - Bruno just has Alastair covered.

Bruno shows  8h 9h, Alastair shows  Ks Kd

Alastair needs the case King or the board to pair - but its a very dry  8s and Bruno eliminates Alastair

Great festival so far, but the HORSE schedule was terrible. Level 3 in HORSE was equivalent to level 6 of Thursday"s stud event and the starting stacks were the same. Second one out and I feel I"ve wasted £55. I"m extremely tight, barely played a hand and because nothing I had held up I got effectively blinded away. Won one pot in the first level of hold em. So frustrated.

Roll on the PLO!

Chips flying about the place on Table 48 in a clash between Mike Sweeney and Rod Phillips - the board eventually shows :

8c Qd 10c 6c Qs

After the river came down, MIke announces all in for around 7k - Rod has him covered but a decision to make....he counts out his chips and after considering things for a while longer, makes the call.

Mike immediately says you win - and tables AJ - but then changes it to a fairly dry, but sincere "wow, nice call" as Rod shows JT to take the pot.

Mike Sweeney eliminated

I spoke to a number of players at the first break as per our conversation Martin, and while they felt it was a bit fast in the opening two levels, generally they are saying its fine now.  It should run ten hours, so we"ll keep an eye on it throughout.

Anyway, that aside, sorry to hear you didn"t enjoy the event - we never like to hear that - and hope you have a much better run in the PLO.

Table 21 action - get there just as we get to showdown - Vaino Tiik has a decision whether to call the shove from Simon Allen - "go on then" is the decision from Vaino - which he immediately regrets as Simon flips 44 for a Full House - 4s full of 2s. Vaino shows QQ - an overpair to the board.

This decimates his stack and next hand he is eliminated.

Over on Table 31 and Ashfaq Raja has raised to 1100 which Yung Hon Ngan calls. The flop is  Jh 4h 9c - Yung checks, Ashfaq bets 1250, Yung calls.

Turn is  2d - check, check - River is  Jd - again both check.

Ashfaq tables AKs, which is obviously good enough for Yung, who mucks his hand.

Dann Williams busto in the HORSE event.

It all went to pot in the PLO round, where he had a nasty hobbit of making the nuts on the turn, only to be outdrawn on the river.

If Peter Wigglesworth manages to final table the horse will be three for three (stud, Highroller and Horse) played with him yesterday in the highroller and he should have won imo nice chap as well - just thought he was worth a mention as I think he is having a cracking festival statistically! Good luck all!
