APAT UK Team Championship
« on: April 30, 2008, 17:05:59 PM »
--Updated: June 12th--

The APAT UK Team Championship will be fully dealer dealt and played over two days at the G Casino in Blackpool, on July 19th & 20th.

The entry fee per player will be £50 and no registration fee will be charged.  All of the entry fees will be returned in prize money and there will be an added GUKPT seat for the individual tournament winner; in addition to prize money for the top three finishing forums.  The owner of the winning forum will win an additional £1,000 prize, the Forum Championship Cup and the right to call their community the premier poker playing forum in the UK.

The event will be run to the normal APAT tournament structure, with each player receiving 10,000 chips, on a 40 minute clock.  The final fifty players will earn ranking points towards the Forum Championship.  Teams will be made up of ten players.

The following forums have expressed an interest in competing, with further communities to follow:

A World of Poker
Blondepoker
Bristol & South West Meetup
Chezger
Eat My Stack
Furness Poker
Gambling.co.uk
Gutshot
Ladies In Poker
London Poker Meetup
PokerPlayer Magazine
Punters Lounge
Raise The River
The Hendon Mob
Time For Poker
UK Football Fans
UK Poker Life
FISO
Newcastle Poker Forum
APAT

Forums should appoint a captain and can apply to enter a maximum of two teams by the closing date of June 22nd.  Final player selections will need to be confirmed by June 29th.

This event is expected to one of the most competitive hosted by APAT and forums are encouraged to organise team shirts and get into the spirit of what is certain to be an outstanding weekend in Blackpool.

With demand from 20 teams (and some smaller forums not included above), it now looks as if no forum will be able to enter a second team.

You are going to deplete the APAT team by doing this (and half the forum teams in the UK  :D)

Des...please add the London Poker Meetup as definitely interested.

Team numbers would be useful as well as the total number of seats available....when you have them ofc.

Paulie.
