Gala Maybury
« on: May 01, 2008, 18:28:17 PM »
Now that I officially have a seat (thank god), I was just wondering if anybody who knows Edinburgh well can tell me if the Gala Maybury is close to either Haymarket or Waverly train stations? Going to get the train through from Glasgow and will probably hop off at one of those two then get a taxi if the casino isn"t within walking distance...

I looked on the Gala website but couldn"t find any info...
Any help is greatly appreciated!

If you paste this multimap url http://www.multimap.com/maps/?hloc=GB|EH12%208NE into your browser it"ll show you where the casino is.

Hope this helps you.

Thanks, yeah that helps...

Looks like Haymarket is closest but still another wee bit away so might have to get a taxi... anyone from Edinburgh know roughly how much a black cab will cost from Haymarket?

Haymarket to the Casino £8 max (from my cabbie hubby) although regular bus service goes right along n outside it and it only costs £1.10 for the bus fare. Bus No 31 or I think u can jump on the Airport Bus (No 100) which stops outside Maybury if you just tell driver.

Thanks a lot for the info, much appreciated.

Might take the bus and buy another couple of drinks with the saved £7  :P
