Out of curiosity, and partly because I am struggling to understand why these satellites aren"t being better supported, how did you not know this ?

We emailed the whole database

There is a thread up on the forum

We have regularly posted on Facebook and Twitter throughout the past week

Are people not receiving these types of communications ?

When loaded go to Dusk Till Dawn on the left not Tournaments...
Amongst all the others Grand Prix, Deepstack Mini, UKIPT you will find APAT...
It hasn"t been very well supported at the moment but might pick up with only a few weeks to go...

No probs Bri.

It was a genuine question to all, as we"ve set these satellites up, and they only need 6/7 runners to start, yet they struggle to get going.

Not quite sure why  ???

Going off opinions from the weekend from a few different people, as a generalisation, people want to play all APAT related sat"s/games on the same site over the season. We all usually know that the site will be the same for the season. Over the last 12 months, this hasn"t been the case as it has changed between 3 over the last year or so. If we knew for example, that the leagues, the online championships and the sats were on the same site, we could all deposit on that site. At the moment, we"re all having to hold back as we never are really sure.

Again, we"re all aware this is due to sponsorship deals etc but it is definitely a negative.

Leigh,

Obviously, I"m committed when some of the side events are running but my only option to sat into the Main (because I"ve already regged) is to win two side event tokens. I"m very reluctant to unreg from the Main just to try and satellite in.

I"m assuming that this is a skin issue which won"t let me satellite into an event I"m already regged for.

Anyway, that"s my reason for not playing more sats...and you know how unusual it is to see me playing online.

Likewise. I have a berth in the holding tank, and I"m not risking unregistering so I can play a satellite.  If I could play sats and then unregister if I win a satellite, I might play more.

I"m surprised the Main Event isn"t using tokens in the same way as the Side Events are.

The main event sats have been setup as direct feeders into the main event holding tank.  They weren"t setup as token sats as there is only one target event for them.

There is plenty of spaces at the moment, so you aren"t going to risk anything by unregging and giving the sats a go.

I had a conversation last night with Mark and Des, and the feeling is that I"ve gone a bit overkill with the daily satellites, and this means we aren"t getting the minimum runners on any singular night to ge them to run.

It was suggested that if we ran a weekly satellite, then it would focus in the players.  The only concern I have with that is the fact that there doesn"t seem to be many players trying to satellite at the moment.

I"m going to reg for all of tonights games.  Let"s see if we can get enough interest to get them to run.

I don"t think it"s because of the varying sites - I think it"s the large number of games and not much about them on the forum, so people think everyone else is not playing them. I"ve had a look a few times, saw there was no-one registered and wandered off again. Others are probably doing the same thing, whereas if there seemed to be some interest, others would join in. Fewer games, but more promotion of those, might do the trick. Still lots of time though.
